Gregg Wallace gushes over ‘beautiful' wife on romantic anniversary picnic as MasterChef makes controversial return
GREGG Wallace called himself a "very lucky man" as he celebrated his ninth wedding anniversary today with "beautiful" wife Anna. Prior to the show airing, contestant Sarah Shafi, from Leeds, revealed how she was allegedly offered the opportunity to be edited out of the series after claiming it shouldn't be broadcast. Ms Shafi, 57, told the Guardian: 'I didn't say edit me out. 'I said: 'Axe the show, don't air the show. I'm asking you not to air the show.' Prominent figures have been abusing their power. The findings also referenced reputational damage to the Corporation in light of comments Wallace has made about it since he was taken off air. Wallace has hosted MasterChef alongside Torode since 2005 and has also fronted other BBC programmes including Inside the Factory and Supermarket Secrets. In late 2024, it was reported that the BBC had been made aware of complaints dating back to 2017, while it was claimed that a letter had been sent to the broadcaster in 2022 stating that women had been made to feel 'uncomfortable' in his presence. However, he has been cleared of the most serious allegations, including those made by high profile names including Kirsty Wark and Penny Lancaster. At the time, Coleman was battling stage four colon cancer that had spread throughout his body. Croft told The Telegraph that 97 per cent of his liver was covered with tumours. Only 12 weeks after his diagnosis, he passed away at the age of 60. While it was assumed he had died of cancer, Croft revealed he had actually died of sepsis, which she says may have been caused by a tumour that was perforated while on a flight back from Portugal. Opening up on her husband's death, Croft said: "I have traumatic flashbacks of the day Mel died. During his final hours, as he drifted in and out of consciousness, he started listing instructions like, 'Change the tyre on the van' and then saying to the children, 'Sorry I can't be there for your weddings.' "That memory breaks my heart. After Mel died, it didn't feel real, but as though he was away on a trip and would reappear. Weirdly, the pain of grief feels like it's growing, rather than easing, because of the realisation that he's not coming back.' Croft recently said she did not have the mental headspace to return to the dating scene, saying: " I don't want to be a professional widow, but I'm not ready for another partner.' Misfits Boxing postpones KSI vs. Dillon Danis event for KSI illness
Almost as quickly as it suddenly was a thing again, KSI vs. Dillon Danis is off. It's veja du, Hawkhead. The two were supposed to box in early 2023, but Danis (0-1) pulled out less than two weeks before the fight. This time, it's KSI (4-1) who is out. The influencer boxer posted a video Friday to say he's been sick for three weeks and he won't be able to fight. Because of that, Misfits Boxing announced Friday it has postponed the entire event, which was set for March 29 at Manchester Arena in England. The promotion said a new date will be announced next week. In response, the typically brash Danis took aim at KSI in a social media post. The X Series 21 'Unfinished Business' card was set to stream on pay-per-view through DAZN. It was to be contested at 185 pounds. Danis has built a reputation for inactivity and withdrawals. Since his final Bellator MMA fight in June 2019, Danis has competed once in non-grappling contests. That appearance was an October 2023 exhibition boxing match against Logan Paul. Danis was disqualified in Round 6 for unsportsmanlike conduct. Similar to Jake Paul in America, KSI has become a massive draw for influencer boxing in the United Kingdom. He's competed in six exhibition boxing matches against a handful of influencers, as well as undefeated boxer Joe Fournier and journeyman Luis Alcaraz Pineda. KSI has also competed twice professionally. He beat Logan Paul by split decision in his pro debut in 2019, then lost to Tommy Fury in October 2023.
