Setco Automotive launches load cushion and torque rod bush for commercial vehicles
Setco Automotive , a manufacturer of clutches for medium and heavy commercial vehicles (MHCVs), has announced the launch of two suspension components— Load Cushion and Torque Rod Bush —as part of its entry into the MHCV suspension segment. The Load Cushion is a component positioned between the chassis and the axle or leaf spring assembly. It is designed to absorb vertical loads and shocks encountered during heavy-duty operations. Commonly used in heavy commercial vehicles, trailers, and tippers that rely on bogie suspensions, the Load Cushion contributes to maintaining vehicle balance and structural alignment. Setco's version is built using rubber with rubber-to-metal bonding and is intended to withstand compressive forces while ensuring consistent performance. The Torque Rod Bush , also launched by the company, is installed at both ends of the torque rod that connects the axle to the vehicle chassis. It serves to absorb road shocks and vibrations during braking or over uneven terrain, helping to reduce the transmission of impact forces to the driveline. It also supports axle articulation while allowing controlled flexibility. This component is used across medium and heavy commercial vehicles, including trucks, trailers, and buses. Harish Sheth, Chairman and MD, Setco Automotive Ltd., said: 'Following our successful entry into the engine cooling segment with the Automotive Water Pump, we are excited to strengthen our MHCV portfolio with suspension products range. These new products reflect our continued focus on innovation, quality, and addressing evolving customer needs. They deliver superior ride comfort and vehicle reliability, core attributes our customers have come to expect from Setco.' With this launch, Setco aims to broaden its presence in the commercial vehicle market and offer a wider range of components beyond its existing clutch and cooling product lines.
