Donald Trump Praised Karoline Leavitt's Lips, Drawing Internet Ire
President Donald Trump is facing new criticism after an uncomfortable attempt at complimenting White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt.
'She's become a star,' he told Newsmax on Friday. 'It's that face. It's that brain. It's those lips, the way they move. They move like she's a machine gun.'
He also said: 'I don't think anybody has ever had a better press secretary than Karoline.'
Leavitt, 27, made history earlier this year as the youngest White House press secretary. But in the months since, she has perhaps become better known for her wildly over-the-top praise of the president.
She has at least twice, for example, demanded that Trump be awarded the Nobel Peace Prize.
But it's the very specific compliment about her lips that has Trump's critics cringing.
They fired back on X, formerly Twitter:
