First roza to be observed tomorrow as Ramadan moon sighted
Listen to article The moon marking the beginning of Ramadan 1446 Hijri has been sighted in Pakistan after the completion of 30 days of Sha'ban, Express News reported. Following the moon sighting, special Taraweeh prayers will be held in mosques across the country after Isha, while worshippers prepare for the first pre-dawn meal (Sehri). The first fast of the holy month will be observed nationwide on Sunday, as Muslims across Pakistan embrace the spiritual and communal blessings of Ramadan. Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, the United States, Germany, and several other countries began fasting today, having sighted the moon a day earlier.

CAIRO, Feb 28 (MENA) - Dar Al Ifta announced that Saturday, March 1, will mark the first day of the holy fasting month of Ramadan of the Hijri year 1446. In a statement, Dar al Ifta's committees nationwide spotted the crescent of Ramadan, the ninth month of the Islamic calendar. Morocco breaks Arab consensus on Ramadan start date
Shafaq News/ Morocco announced that Sunday, March 2, will mark the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan, diverging from the rest of the Arab world, which declared Saturday as the first day of the holy month. Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Syria, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, the UAE, Bahrain, Jordan, Palestine, and Iraq 's Sunni Endowment all confirmed that Ramadan would begin on Saturday following the sighting of the crescent moon. Morocco's Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs explained that after conducting moon sighting observations across the kingdom on Friday, in coordination with religious officials and military observation units, no sightings were reported. As a result, Sha'ban (the month before Ramadan) will complete its 30-day cycle, delaying Ramadan for 1446 Hijri to Sunday.
