Crown Prince International Scholarship Program Begins Qualification Exams for 2026 Cohort
The Crown Prince's International Scholarship Program (CPISP) has commenced qualification exams for students who applied in March for the 2026 scholarship cycle. A total of 1,081 students from public and private schools across Bahrain, as well as several students studying abroad, are participating in the assessments.
The qualification exams, conducted in collaboration with the Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance (BIBF), are being held in batches. They evaluate applicants on their English language proficiency, mathematics skills, and cognitive abilities.
Shadha Ahmed Ali, Executive Director of Financial and Administrative Affairs at CPISP, explained that the qualification process includes an English language exam and a series of three cognitive tests. These assess verbal, numerical, and analytical reasoning skills. She noted that arrangements have been made for applicants studying outside Bahrain to sit for their exams at their respective high schools under the supervision of a CPISP-authorized official.
Ali added that the next stage will involve selecting a minimum of 80 students as scholarship nominees. This selection will be based on their cumulative academic performance and qualification exam results. The list of nominated candidates is expected to be announced before the end of June.
Following nomination, students will participate in intensive summer training sessions, workshops, and educational lectures throughout the upcoming academic year. The final list of scholarship recipients will be announced in April 2026.
Ali also revealed that the program received 1,197 applications during the submission period. Eligibility criteria include being a Bahraini national in the 11th grade, expected to graduate from high school in 2026, and having achieved a cumulative GPA of at least 97% in the 10th grade and the first semester of the 11th grade.
