First batch of Hajj pilgrims leaves Kannur
The first flight carrying Hajj pilgrims left the Kannur airport in the early hours of Sunday (May 11, 2025).
A total of 170 pilgrims, including 88 men and 82 women from Kannur and Kasaragod districts, boarded the Air India Express flight at 3.45 a.m.
The flight was flagged off by Mattanur municipal chairman N. Shajith, who also serves as the working chairman of the Hajj organising committee.
Former MLA M.V. Jayarajan, Kannur International Airport Limited managing director Dinesh Kumar, and others, were present.
