Eminem Joins Kendrick Lamar With Multiple Top 10 Bestsellers
Eminem's 'Shake That' returns to the R&B/Hip-Hop Digital Song Sales chart, joining 'Lose Yourself' ... More as the rapper doubles up on the tally. UNSPECIFIED - JANUARY 01: Photo of EMINEM (Photo by Sal Idriss/Redferns) Eminem stands out from so many other rappers thanks to his ability to continuously sell music from his catalog, and not just see it perform well on streaming platforms. He demonstrates that ability again this week, as one of his singles returns to a Billboard list focused solely on pure purchases, and it joins one of his all-time classics in doing so. The rapper matches one of the most exciting superstars in his chosen field today as he doubles up on the tally. "Shake That," Eminem's collaboration with Nate Dogg, returns to the R&B/Hip-Hop Digital Song Sales chart this week. The cut barely manages to reenter the ranking of the bestselling tunes that can be classified as R&B, rap, or hip-hop in the U.S., landing in last place. "Shake That" joins "Lose Yourself," which lifts one space to No. 7. As "Shake That" returns, Eminem joins Kendrick Lamar as the only two musicians to occupy more than one space on the R&B/Hip-Hop Digital Song Sales list. Lamar claims twice as many current wins as Eminem, with four current smashes. Lamar also manages to rank higher than Eminem this period – though both of the latter musician's current bestsellers are much, much older than Lamar's. His tunes "Luther" with SZA, "Not Like Us," and "Put TV Off" with Lefty Gunplay and 'Squabble Up' appear at Nos. 4, 6, 9, and 11, respectively. A number of other hip-hop powerhouses manage to remain on the R&B/Hip-Hop Digital Song Sales chart as well, but at the moment, none fill more than a single space. "Anxiety" by Doechii leads for its fourth frame, which represents the entirety of its time on the roster. Drake's former No. 1 "Nokia" dips to third place, landing just ahead of Lamar's highest-rising success. Several other well-known figures like The Weeknd, Playboi Carti, and Pharrell Williams also take up space with former champions. "Shake That" was released decades ago, but has recently surged in popularity after going viral. The tune peaked at No. 8 earlier this month and is one of Eminem's 69 top 10 hits on the tally. "Lose Yourself," which has now spent 468 frames somewhere on this roster, has somehow only ever peaked at No. 2.

Eminem's Single Reaches A New Peak Almost 20 Years After Its Release
Eminem and Nate Dogg's 2006 hit 'Shake That' returns to the top 10 on multiple Billboard lists, ... More becoming a bestseller again and reaching a new peak everywhere. LOS ANGELES, CA - APRIL 13: Recording artist Eminem performs onstage at the 2014 MTV Movie Awards at Nokia Theatre L.A. Live on April 13, 2014 in Los Angeles, California. (Photo byfor MTV) Earlier this year, one of Eminem's older singles suddenly went viral. This is something that has happened to a number of well-known acts in the past few years, as younger generations pick up on one tune or another, turn it into a trend on TikTok, and if it gains momentum, thousands, if not millions of people rush to streaming platforms and, in some cases, sites like iTunes to consume the cut. Sometimes, this happens because listeners are discovering the song for the first time. Perhaps it was released well before they began exploring music on their own, so it's new to them. In other cases, the TikTok trend or general social media conversation around the track reminds them of their love for the cut, prompting them to listen once more. Eminem's 'Shake That' has enjoyed this kind of renewed success in 2025 and has been rising and falling on various charts for several months. This time around in the U.S., 'Shake That' is a hit once again and even a top 10 smash on a Billboard chart. Eminem's collaboration with Nate Dogg appears inside the highest tier on a purchase-centric tally at the moment. 'Shake That' returns to the Rap Digital Song Sales chart after not appearing on the list only a few days ago. This frame, it reenters at No. 6. At the same time, the tune jumps from No. 14 to No. 8 on the R&B/Hip-Hop Digital Song Sales ranking. It's back inside the loftiest space again as it nearly halves its position on that list, which includes purchases of tunes in the R&B, hip-hop and rap styles. In both instances, 'Shake That' reaches a new high point. Eminem and Nate Dogg released 'Shake That' in early 2006. The tune was one of a handful of new cuts featured on the rapper's greatest hits compilation Curtain Call. The tune was a commercial success when it was first released, as it climbed all the way to No. 6 on the Hot 100 and surged toward the top 10 on several other rankings, including Hot Rap Songs list and various radio tallies. Now, nearly two decades later, it has become a sales win once more.

Eminem Charts A Brand New Top 10 Hit On Several Lists
It's not every day that a track from nearly two decades ago climbs the charts in a meaningful way. Excitingly, that's exactly what's happening with Eminem's 'Shake That' at the moment. The tune has suddenly found new life in 2025 as fans continue to celebrate it, while some people discover the cut for the first time. Throughout the year, it's been rising and returning, and this frame, it reappears on a number of Billboard charts. The song even manages to reach new highs in the process. 'Shake That,' a collaboration between Eminem and the late Nate Dogg, is back on two of Billboard's purchase-centric rankings this week. The track reappears on both the R&B/Hip-Hop Digital Song Sales and Rap Digital Song Sales charts. This frame, the oft-dormant cut becomes a top 10 hit on both of those tallies for the first time. The rapped 'Shake That' rockets in at No. 8 on the Rap Digital Song Sales chart this frame, while it's close behind at No. 9 on the R&B/Hip-Hop Digital Song Sales tally. Those are new peaks for the track, which has been sporadically present on both lists in the past, though it's never appeared this high. Somewhat oddly, 'Shake That' has now spent only four total frames on each chart throughout its lifetime. That's a surprisingly short run, considering how long the song has been available, and how popular Eminem's music is to this day. 'Shake That' originally debuted on these charts back in April 2011 — 14 years ago. Now, more than a decade later, it finally earns the kind of recognition fans may have expected it's already received all along. The tune's current placement gives Eminem his sixty-ninth top 10 hit on the slightly broader R&B/Hip-Hop Digital Song Sales chart. On the rap-only ranking, 'Shake That' becomes his seventy-seventh top 10. Eminem isn't just winning with this one revived cut. This week, his Oscar-winning anthem 'Lose Yourself' continues to hold on inside the top 20 on the R&B/Hip-Hop Digital Song Sales list, settling at No. 12. The superstar claims two of the top 20 bestselling tracks in those genres with a pair of decades-old compositions. 'Shake That' was first released in late 2005 as one of the few new cuts featured on Eminem's Curtain Call: The Hits compilation. The song arrived during a transitional moment in the rapper's career, as he began to step away from the spotlight, though only for a relatively short time. It was a proper hit at the time, and it's now on its way to becoming one yet again.

Eminem's Catalog Is On The Rise, Thanks To One Track's Surprising Revival
Eminem's 'Shake That' climbs on the U.K. charts, bringing 'Without Me' and 'Lose Yourself' along ... More with it as the rapper experiences a multi-song resurgence. Rapper Eminem at Bob & Charlie Roberts Spotlight Tattoo shop on May 8th, 1999 in Los Angeles, California. (Photo by) Eminem hasn't released anything new in a while, and fans shouldn't expect tunes anytime soon, since he spent much of 2024 promoting his album The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce). While he's not pushing anything at the moment, one of the rapper's older hits is suddenly gaining serious traction in the United Kingdom, and it appears to be bringing some of his other beloved tracks along for the ride. Last week, Eminem's 'Shake That' debuted on the Official Singles Sales chart in the U.K., just barely making the cut at No. 98. This week, the cut lifts 12 spaces to No. 86. That improvement brings the track to a new peak on the tally, and marks just its second-ever appearance on the list of the most-purchased songs in the country. The surprise popularity of 'Shake That' might be giving Eminem's work a broader boost. This frame, the rapper appears on three charts in the U.K. with multiple titles, and each one is on the rise. 'Shake That' is also climbing on the Official Singles Downloads chart, where it ascends to No. 81. The digital lift pairs nicely with its improvement on the sales tally. Meanwhile, two other Eminem hits — 'Without Me' and 'Lose Yourself' — are enjoying a resurgence of their own. The pair find themselves on the Official Hip-Hop and R&B Singles chart this week at Nos. 25 and 26, respectively. Both songs climb at least five spaces from where they sat last period. Even as 'Shake That' moves up 17 spaces to No. 81 on the Official Singles Downloads chart this frame, that's still far from the cut's all-time best showing. The track has now spent 11 total weeks on the downloads tally, and previously peaked as high as No. 28. So, while it reaches a new all-time high on one-half of all the rosters the single appears on, it has a long way to go before managing the same feat on the other roster. 'Shake That' was released as a single in early 2006 from Curtain Call: The Hits, Eminem's first official compilation of his biggest smashes. The track features vocals from Nate Dogg, though he isn't officially credited on the U.K. charts. In the United States, the song was a huge win, peaking at No. 6 on the Hot 100. Overseas, however, it never quite reached that level of fame — at least not initially. Now, nearly two decades later, it's becoming a fan favorite, largely for the first time.

Eminem's Decade-Plus-Old Smash Hits New Peaks On Multiple Charts
Eminem's 'Shake That' re-enters Billboard's genre charts, hitting new peaks on both the Rap and ... More R&B/Hip-Hop Digital Song Sales rankings nearly 20 years after release. (Photo by Katie McTiernan/Anadolu via Getty Images) Eminem has dozens of massive hits under his belt and one of the most impressive chart legacies of any rapper in history. This week, he adds another win to his ever-growing résumé — but not with a new release. Instead, it's an older track that's making music again. 'Shake That,' the collaboration with the late Nate Dogg, is back on the Billboard charts, and it's bigger than ever on several rankings. 'Shake That' reappears on a pair of Billboard tallies this week. It doesn't manage to break onto all-genre tallies like the Hot 100, but it's once again a bestseller, appearing on two genre-specific lists. The Eminem cut returns to the Rap Digital Song Sales chart at No. 9. That's the highest it's ever ranked on that list. 'Shake That' also finds space on the R&B/Hip-Hop Digital Song Sales tally, where it enters at No. 12. Though slightly lower, that's another all-time best showing for the single. Over the course of its lifetime, 'Shake That' hasn't been a consistent performer on these two rosters. In fact, as of this frame, it has only spent two weeks on the R&B/Hip-Hop Digital Song Sales ranking, and just one other turn on the Rap Digital Song Sales list. 'Shake That' was originally featured on Curtain Call: The Hits, a compilation that Eminem dropped in 2005. That set was largely a collection of previously-released smashes, but it did include a few brand new tracks. 'Shake That' was one of just three original cuts created for the project. When it was released, the track quickly became another win for the rapper. It peaked at No. 6 on the Hot 100, extending his streak of high-charting singles at the time and giving Nate Dogg one of his biggest mainstream successes. 'Shake That' stands as Eminem's only current hit on the U.S. charts. His track 'Without Me' is still performing well globally, though it's on the decline across Billboard's international rankings. This time around, 'Without Me' drops to No. 146 on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. and No. 170 on the Billboard Global 200. With 'Shake That' becoming a bestseller once more, it's not shocking that Curtain Call: The Hits is enjoying a boost in performance as well. The compilation appears on four Billboard charts this week, and it's climbing on three of them.
