Govt to conduct eye test camps for students and drivers in July
Jaipur: The education department will set up eye test camps in all govt schools in July for students and drivers under the Shala Swasthya Pariksha Abhiyan.
Officials said this decision was made in the review meeting of Project Management Unit (PMU) of the school education department held at the directorate of secondary education Thursday.
Secretary for school education Krishna Kunal said under the campaign, eye tests will be conducted free of charge, and after the test, glasses will be provided to students or drivers as needed.
The secretary also directed officials to upload data related to the mid-day meal on the Shala Darpan portal, along with daily monitoring of the enrolment work under Praveshotsav, preventing dropouts, and linking school enrolment data with Vidya Samiksha Kendra (VSK).
The education secretary also directed the effective implementation of the student attendance app and the timely provision of textbooks and workbooks to students of Classes 1 to 5 and 6 to 12.
