Safwa Urban Development (SUD) signed a strategic partnership agreement with International Workplace Group, the world's largest hybrid workspace platform, adding new Regus centers to four of the developer's flagship projects across Egypt in the cities of Cairo, Mansoura, and New Damietta. This collaboration reflects SUD's strategy to deliver cutting-edge business environments, while enhancing the operational efficiency and market competitiveness of its developments. The agreement is also in line with IWG strategy to meet the sharply rising demand for top class flexible working space in the area. Set to open in 2025, the four centres at SUD distinguished projects will provide space for established firms and start-ups across a range of industries, while IWG's Design Your Own Office service allows companies to tailor their space entirely to their requirements. The new Regus location will include facilities including private offices, meeting rooms, co-working and creative spaces. Eng. Ali Shalaby, Board Member of Safwa Urban Developments (SUD), commented on the partnership, stating: 'This strategic agreement with IWG, through its Regus brand, underscores SUD commitment to delivering world-class operational models that align with international standards. Integrating Regus' proven expertise in flexible workspace solutions, reflects our vision of creating integrated business communities that thrive in Egypt's competitive real estate landscape.' Shalaby added: 'The selection of Regus as our partner was driven by their unparalleled global track record in managing flexible workspaces, which strengthens the long-term investment value of SUD's developments. This marks our second collaboration with Regus, following the success of our European branch partnership, further solidifying the trust between our organizations.' Youssef Najeeb, Country Manager for IWG in Egypt stated: 'Our continuous openings in Cairo come at a time when more and more companies are discovering that flexible and platform working is incredibly popular with employees, improving their work-life balance and satisfaction, while also providing a multitude of benefits to companies. Our workplace model, along with local partners collaborations, enables existing businesses to increase productivity and allows for new businesses to scale up or down at significantly reduced costs while providing access to thousands of locations, contributing to the local economy through job creation and investment.' SUD boasts an extensive portfolio of projects across Egypt, including prominent developments in Greater Cairo, the New Administrative Capital, Obour City, New Damietta, and New Mansoura. With investments totaling EGP 18 billion in the New Administrative Capital alone, SUD continues to lead way in creating innovative residential, commercial, and mixed-use spaces tailored to diverse market needs. The addition of International Workplace Group's latest locations to SUD projects comes on the heels of the business posting its highest-ever revenue, cashflow and earnings growth in its history and achieving rapid network growth, signing 899 new centres to its network in 2024 and opening 624 new workspaces. Tatweer Misr launches REACH programme to stimulate real estate demand amid market slowdown
Egypt - In a strategic move to counter Egypt's real estate market slowdown, Tatweer Misr has launched the REACH programme, a flexible financial solution designed to revive consumer demand and address the sector's liquidity challenges amid declining purchasing power. Unlike the market trend of offering blanket long-term payment plans, Tatweer Misr based its approach on a five-month market study focused on evolving buyer behavior and sector-specific needs, according to Ahmed Shalaby, Founder, President, CEO, and Board Member of the company. Karim Radwan, Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) at Tatweer Misr, described REACH as a comprehensive framework that goes beyond payment flexibility. 'REACH is designed to support a healthy cash flow, boost sales, and strengthen collaboration across the real estate value chain—including brokers, contractors, and service providers,' he said. The programme offers customizable payment plans ranging from 5 to 15 years, tailored to various income brackets and buyer profiles, from first-time homeowners to property investors. Backed by this initiative, Tatweer Misr is targeting over EGP 35bn in contracted sales in 2025, supported by EGP 14bn in planned investments across its project portfolio. These investments will support the delivery of more than 2,000 residential units across the company's six developments, Shalaby confirmed. 'We expect to achieve EGP 2bn in net profits by the end of 2025, up from EGP 1.7bn in 2024, marking the first time in a decade that we fully settle accumulated losses from previous years,' he added. Shalaby also noted the ongoing strength of international demand, which accounted for 50% of total sales between January and September 2025. Of this, 40% came from Egyptians living abroad and 10% from foreign nationals—a shift in composition compared to 2023, when sales were split at 39% and 11%, respectively. In the first quarter (Q1) of 2025, Tatweer Misr reported EGP 6bn in contracted sales, with over EGP 3bn invested, 70% of which was allocated to construction. The company also sold more than 500 units, bringing its cumulative sales to 16,500 units out of a total planned 34,000 across its projects.

Yara Sameh Egyptian actress Menna Shalaby's musical play "Shams & Qamar" will be restaged from April 1-4 at City Walk Arabic Theater in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The play debuted in November 2024 within the activities of the 5th edition of the Riyadh Season in Saudi Arabia. The cast also includes Elham Abdelbadea, Donia Sami, Mahmoud El Leithy, Mohamed Abd El Azim, and more. "Shams & Qamar" marks Shalaby's stage debut and sees her collaborating with screenwriter Medhat El Adl and director Ahmed Elbohy. The play's official synopsis reads: "Qamar, an ordinary Egyptian girl, exploits her striking resemblance to a famous actress on TikTok, but when the real star is accidentally kidnapped, Qamar finds herself forced to live in her own world amidst a whirlwind of tensions and crises, which puts each of them in an unexpected confrontation with their true identity."
