OKCPD officer accused of violating protective order in ongoing rape, domestic violence case
OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) — A judge issued an arrest warrant for an Oklahoma City police officer, already facing rape and domestic violence charges, after police say he violated a protective order by continually driving past and staring at his former girlfriend while she celebrated an NBA Finals game outside a Bricktown bar.
News 4 first reported on Officer Shamar Kitchens last November, when investigators said he beat and raped his then-girlfriend.
At the time, the woman told police Kitchens punched her, raped her, and held a gun to her head while they were riding in a car together.

She said that he threatened to kill her, their young child, and himself if she told anyone.
Police arrested Kitchens that night, and he bonded out of jail the next day.
Oklahoma City police placed him on paid leave and said he would remain on leave until the case concludes.
In December, a judge issued a protective order requiring Kitchens to have no contact whatsoever with his former girlfriend.
The order said violating it could lead to a fine of up to $1,000 and more than a year in jail.
Newly-obtained court documents allege Kitchens violated the order in June.
According to the documents, on the evening of June 16, Kitchens' former girlfriend was celebrating Game 5 of the NBA finals outside JJ's Alley Pub in Bricktown when she saw Kitchens' maroon Ram truck driving up Sheridan Avenue.
She said the truck stopped next to her, the window rolled down, and in the driver's seat, she saw Kitchens staring directly at her.

Her friends told officers they saw him circle by again after she ran inside.
When she came back out, she told police his truck pulled back up the street for a third time.
One of her friends recorded the incident on their phone.
Police say nearby surveillance cameras and license plate readers also captured Kitchens' truck outside the bar at the same time.
A judge issued an arrest warrant for Kitchens on July 28 for violating a protective order.
The warrant included a $3,000 bond.
Fourteen days later, court records still did not show an arrest for Kitchens.
Oklahoma City police told News 4 they understand Kitchens turned himself in, jail staff processed him, and that the jail staff released him immediately.
However, they said they did not know which jail it happened in or the exact date.
Several months ago, a News 4 reporter encountered Kitchens at a store where he now works.
Kitchens said there was more to the story, and he would like to share it in the future.
News 4 called him Monday afternoon, but did not hear back.
