Dixie Twin Drive-In theater unveils design for new sign
DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — A historic landmark in Harrison Township will soon have a new sign.
After strong winds from Hurricane Helene destroyed the Dixie Twin Drive-In theater's original signage, the township released concept art for a new one.

According to the release, the sign will take advantage of digital technology to add a more modern touch. However, the new sign will be noticeably smaller than the original, as the picture below suggests.
The township says that this is the result of insurance limitations. The hope is that the digital features will enhance the new sign's visibility.
'We are excited that the Dixie Twin is committed to keeping moviegoers coming to Harrison Township,' said Township Administrator Shannon Meadows in the release. 'While the old sign will be missed, the new modern design is an ode to the past while paving the way for the future.'
Construction on the sign is expected to begin in April.
