Putin: Free access to knowledge, technology most important factors in building just, multipolar world
Kazan - Saba: Russian President Vladimir Putin stressed on Wednesday that free access to knowledge and technology is one of the most important factors in shaping a just, multipolar world. Putin told participants in the Third International Forum of Ministers of Education, "Shaping the Future," according to Sputnik News Agency: "I welcome our colleagues and partners from the Commonwealth of Independent States, the countries of the Asia-Pacific region, Africa, the Middle East, and Latin America, and all participants in the Third International Forum of Ministers of Education in Kazan." He continued: "You and I are united by a common aspiration to ensure access to modern and decent education. This is a key and fundamental condition for achieving social justice, reducing poverty and inequality, increasing income, and improving the quality of life for the citizens of our countries." Putin added, "We are ready to share our accumulated experience and engage in open dialogue. We are convinced that free and equal access to knowledge, technologies, and scientific achievements is one of the key factors for sustainable development and the formation of a more just and secure multipolar world." The President emphasized that Russia looks forward to mutually beneficial cooperation with countries of the East and the South in the field of education. Putin added, "We support the desire of countries of the East and the South to participate in joint educational projects and rely on mutually beneficial cooperation." He said, "Together, we must seek solutions to the complex and significant challenges facing all national education systems, taking into account global trends, including the rapid and widespread spread of digital technologies and artificial intelligence models. They are already radically changing the educational process, accelerating the transformation of the labor market, and contributing to the emergence of new professions." Putin noted, "Of course, we must create effective schools, colleges, and universities to solve current and future development problems in our countries. At the same time, it is important that education contributes to preserving national identity and supporting the diversity of cultures and traditions." According to him, "school in the broadest sense should not only provide the most advanced knowledge and skills, but should also educate, nurture, and help young people acquire a solid foundation of values for life and become harmonious individuals." According to Putin, this approach is the foundation of the Russian education system. He emphasized that "everything we do is subordinated to the most important mission: helping every child and adolescent discover their abilities and realize their potential." The Russian President extended his greetings to the participants in the Third International Forum of Ministers of Education "Shaping the Future," being held in Kazan. Representatives from the Commonwealth of Independent States, Asia-Pacific, Africa, the Middle East, and Latin America are participating in the forum. Packaging experts to gather in Brussels for 2025 conference
Professionals from across the European packaging sector are set to gather in Brussels this spring for a two-day event focused on the latest developments shaping the industry. Organised by FTA Europe and Intergraf in cooperation with market research firm Smithers, Shaping the Future with Packaging 2025 will take place from the afternoon of Thursday 10 April to midday on Friday 11 April. The conference is part of the wider Shaping the Future series, which aims to explore key trends within the European print and packaging sectors. The upcoming event will address a range of topics, including environmental issues, material safety, product innovation, and relevant European legislation. Speakers and attendees will explore several issues currently affecting the packaging industry. These include sustainability strategies, the use of food contact materials, and new approaches to product design. The programme will also cover changes in EU policies relevant to packaging, and technical advancements in label printing. The event will feature a series of presentations and panel discussions designed to provide insight into both long-term trends and current market conditions. A networking dinner will be held on the evening of 10 April, offering participants a chance to engage with peers from across Europe. Delegates attending the event will receive a copy of the European Packaging Market Report, produced by Smithers. The publication will offer a detailed analysis of the sector, covering emerging technologies, shifting consumer demands, and economic factors influencing packaging production and use. This report is intended to support strategic decision-making within the industry and will be distributed as part of the overall conference package. Shaping the Future with Packaging 2025 follows earlier editions of the series, which have examined areas such as books, commercial printing, and direct mail. A previous packaging-focused event in 2023 attracted around 120 participants from nearly 20 countries. This year's edition is expected to build on that foundation, offering a platform for industry leaders, manufacturers, and policy experts to exchange ideas and consider the future direction of packaging in Europe.
