TDT I Manama
The Al Hilal Healthcare Group, in partnership with the Philippine Embassy, has launched the 'Healthy Pinoy Campaign 2025,' a monthlong initiative providing free health checkups to the Filipino community across the Kingdom.
The campaign, which builds on the success of last year's program, was announced at an event attended by Her Excellency Anne Jalando-on Louis, Ambassador of the Republic of the Philippines to the Kingdom of Bahrain.
She was joined by senior embassy officials, including Consul Bryan Jess T. Baguio and Labor Attaché Orville Ballitoc, as well as Al Hilal Healthcare Group CEO Dr. Sharath Chandran and Vice President Mr. Asif Mohammad.
Campaign
With the campaign, throughout the month of August, all Filipino nationals in Bahrain can receive free health screenings at any Al Hilal branch.
The official campaign will kick off on Friday, August 1, 2025, at the Al Hilal Medical Center in Manama.
The launch event will feature free blood testing from 7:30 AM, covering key health indicators such as blood sugar, total cholesterol, kidney function (creatinine), liver screening (SGPT), and uric acid.
Complimentary doctor consultations will be available to evaluate the results.
In conjunction with the health services, the Philippine Embassy will conduct a Consular Outreach, with representatives from the Migrant Workers Office (MWO), Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA), and Social Security System (SSS) present to provide support.
A special health awareness talk on preventing hypertension and diabetes will also be held from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM.
Ambassador Louis expressed her gratitude for the partnership, confirming its long-term nature.
Health and welfare
'For the Embassy, the health and welfare of our nationals is a top priority,' she stated. 'We want the Filipino community to know that the Healthy Pinoy Campaign will now be held every August in collaboration with Al Hilal Healthcare Group.'
Dr. Sharath Chandran, CEO of Al Hilal Healthcare Group, reaffirmed his organization's commitment.
'As a leading healthcare provider in the Kingdom, Al Hilal is committed to supporting the Filipino community through continued access to quality healthcare,' he said. 'I would also like to extend my sincere appreciation to Her Excellency Ambassador Anne Jalando-on Louis for her inspiring leadership and dedication to the welfare of the Filipino people in Bahrain.'
