Mleiha Club enhances awareness in digital field
Educating responsible behavior
This workshop provided a rich knowledge platform to educate participants about responsible behavior in the digital space, enhancing awareness of information security issues and respect for privacy and digital rights.
Part of "Sharjah Sports Summer" programme
The workshop was part of the third week of the "Sharjah Sports Summer – Our Holiday is Different 2025" program, executed by the club under the umbrella of the Sharjah Sports Council. This week's theme was "I Am the Community," aimed at providing participants with a comprehensive experience that fosters values of belonging, national identity, and community service through a series of educational and community workshops.
Navigating modern technology
The workshop, held yesterday morning, addressed how to safely and consciously navigate modern technology, especially with the widespread use of social media platforms. It also encouraged participants to discuss their digital experiences and exchange views in an interactive environment.
Community engagement through volunteering
Following this, participants engaged in the "Volunteer from My Community" workshop, organised in collaboration with the Sharjah Volunteer Award, to understand the value of volunteering in community service and how to turn intentions into tangible actions within community initiatives.
Emirati hospitality and tradition
The week also featured a "Welcoming Guests – Marhaba Sa'a" workshop that highlighted Emirati hospitality arts and council etiquette, promoting authentic behaviors and respect for traditional customs among the youth through an interactive and vibrant approach.
Media experience workshop
Additionally, the "Media Professional from My Community" workshop offered participants hands-on experience in the media field, where participant Musab Mohammed bin Hudaiba excelled in conducting live interviews with prominent media and sports figures, enhancing his expressive abilities and communication skills.
Humanitarian initiatives
On a humanitarian note, participants organised a visit to the Social Services Department – Mleiha branch, to meet senior citizens in an event aimed at instilling values of kindness and appreciation, enhancing human interaction between generations, and reinforcing the concept of community giving as part of national identity.
Cultural heritage event
The week also included a special heritage event titled "Falconry: Identity and Art" at the Sharjah Falconers Club, where participants learned about falconry tools and arts, showcasing the Emirati community's connection to its cultural heritage and highlighting the falcon's significance in national culture.
Family engagement competition
The events concluded with the "Me and My Family" competition, which brought participants and their families together in a fun, competitive atmosphere featuring cultural and physical activities, culminating in one family winning a travel ticket prize from Tarteeb Travel, symbolising the family's role in supporting their children's community engagement.
