Tul8te & Almas to Take Over Dubai World Trade Centre on July 4th
They'll be performing at the Beat the Heat Festival in Dubai, which boasts a star-studded lineup featuring Aziz Maraka, Sharmoofers, Soulja, Montiyago, and more. May 30, 2025 Egyptian masked artist Tul8te and Emirati singer-rapper Almas are set to perform at Dubai's Beat the Heat Festival on Friday, July 4th, taking over the Dubai World Trade Centre with a dynamic double act. The event marks one of the opening nights of the month-long festival series, which features some of the most prominent names in Arabic alternative and pop music. Tul8te, known for his eclectic fusion of Arabic pop, trap, bossa nova, and psychedelic rock, returns to the region following international shows across North America, Europe, and the Middle East. Almas, a leading voice in the UAE's emerging music scene, brings her signature blend of emotional lyricism and genre-crossing vocals to the stage. The Beat the Heat Festival continues on July 5th with Sharmoofers, Aziz Maraka, and Ghaliaa; on July 11th with Soulja, Montiyago, and Mo Ali; and on July 12th with Bader Al Shuaibi, Abdulaziz Louis, and Nasser Abbas.

Beat the Heat DXB festival will return this summer
The temperatures might be creeping up, but so are the number of things to look forward to this summer. Beat the Heat DXB festival has been confirmed to be making a return in 2025, and this time it's coming for four separate nights. Hosted at the Dubai World Trade Centre, you'll be able to dance the day away on Friday July 4 and Saturday July 5, as well as Friday July 11 and Saturday July 12. Here's everyone performing for Beat the Heat DXB 2025: Friday July 4 On Friday July 4 , Tul8te , known for his hits Habibi Leih, Matigi A'adi Aleiki, and Qesm El Shakawy, will open the series, alongside Al Mas , recognised for tracks like 3Ala Bali, Al Haz, and Sadma. Saturday July 5 On Saturday July 5, expect some impressive tracks from the Sharmoofers , known for their distinctive sound with songs like Zambahola, Diva, and Arosty, along with Aziz Maraka , famous for hits such as Mafi Mennik, Ahla Wahda, and Miganinani. Ghalia, known for 3abali, Elak w Bas, and Ana El Bent, will also take the stage. Friday July 11 On Friday July 11 , Soulja, known for tracks like Suits, Argeen, and CA Va, will perform, joined by Montiyago , recognised for songs like Ducati, London, and Klashat. Dubai Summer Surprises 2025 dates: What to expect this year
Dubai Summer Surprises, the annual programme of events, sales and concerts in the emirate, will return in June. Promising 66 days of fun, this year the event will run from Friday June 27 until Sunday August 31. This year's DSS will see sales anchored around three distinct shopping windows – Summer Holiday Offers, the Great Dubai Summer Sale and Back to School. These sales will bring plenty of new offers, exclusive promotions and big mall activations to the city. Summer Holiday offers will kick things off between Friday June 27 and Thursday July 17, the Great Dubai Summer Sale will be held between Friday July 18 and Sunday August 10 and the Back to School sale will be between Monday August 11 and Sunday August 31. In addition to these big sales periods, there will be plenty of big concerts coming to Dubai throughout the summer. The opening weekend will bring three nights of shows to the city between the Friday and Sunday, with the headliners yet to be announced. The Beat The Heat DXB concert series will be held over two weekends in July once again at Dubai World Trade Centre. Tickets are already on sale from Dhs78.75 and the opening night will feature rising stars in the Arabic music scene such as tul8te and Almas on Friday July 4. Sharmoofers, Aziz Maraka and Ghalia will perform on Saturday July 5. And the following weekend will see Soulja, Montiyago and Mo Ali take to the stage on Friday July 11, while Bader Alshuaibi, Abdulaziz Louis and Nasser Abbas will perform the following day. The summer concert series will also feature Jazziyat ft Banah on Friday June 27, Adnan Sami on Sunday June 29, Adonis on Thursday July 3 and Shreya Ghosal on Saturday July 19. Dubai Summer Surprises will also feature the Summer Restaurant Week, serving up dining deals between Friday July 4 and Saturday July 12. And shoppers will get even more chances to save with flash sales like the 12-hour sale and the daily surprises. ‘Seeking Haven For Mr. Rambo' Becomes First Egyptian Film Trailer Nominated for Global Golden Trailer Awards
For the first time, an Egyptian film trailer has been shortlisted for the prestigious Golden Trailer Awards. Seeking Haveb For Mr. Rambo's trailer which is directed by Markus Eryan, is competing in the Best Foreign Teaser category against international heavyweights like Wicked and Deadpool. Eryan had already made headlines by becoming the first Egyptian to win Best Trailer at the Global Entertainment Awards — also for this standout film. Seeking Haven for Mr. Rambo tells the story of Hassan, a young man in his thirties who rediscovers himself on a quest to save his dog and best friend "Rambo". He is forced to confront the fears of his past. Hence, Hassan seeks to save himself and Rambo from an unknown fate after getting involved in a serious incident without guilt. Overnight, his neighbour, Karem, as well as the residents of the neighbourhood, start chasing him. The events also shed light on multiple details in Hassan's life and his relationship with those around him. The film is director Khaled Mansour's first feature-length narrative after directing a number of short films that were screened in several international and regional festivals. It is written by screenwriter Mohamed El-Hosseiny, starring rising actor Essam Omar, as his first cinematic experience, Rakin Saad, Sama Ibrahim, co-founder of the musical group Sharmoofers, Ahmed Bahaa, as his first acting experience, Sama Ibrahim, and other young talents and guest stars.

‘Seeking Haven for Mr. Rambo' to Screen at Cairo Opera House
After the screening, film critic Marwan Emara will join producer Rasha Hosny for a discussion on the film. Apr 29, 2025 Critically acclaimed Egyptian film 'Seeking Haven for Mr. Rambo' will be screened at the Cairo Opera House on April 30th at 7:00 PM in the Small Theatre for Nady Al-Cinema. Following the screening, Egyptian film critic Marwan Emara will host a discussion with producer Rasha Hosny, delving deeper into the film. 'Seeking Haven for Mr. Rambo' is directed by Khaled Mansour, and represents his debut feature following a career in short films. The movie follows the journey of a young man facing his past and fears as he sets out on a mission to rescue his beloved dog from an uncertain future. The film's cast features Essam Omar, Rakin Saad, Sama Ibrahim and Ahmed Bahaa , who is also the co-founder of popular Egyptian band Sharmoofers. The screening is free and open to the public, with seats available on a first-come, first-served basis. Doors will open at 6:00 PM, and entry is restricted to individuals aged 12 and above.
