'Raveendra Nee Evide' actress Sheelu Abraham: I've played a homemaker only a couple of times before but Bindu is grounded, family oriented

(Picture Courtesy: Facebook) Actress Sheelu Abraham is all smiles as she speaks about her latest film 'Raveendra Nee Evide', which hit theatres this Friday. Starring opposite Anoop Menon , Sheelu promises the film is a 'humorous family entertainer' that leans on relatable everyday chaos rather than over-the-top drama. A marriage with laughs and suspicions In the film, Anoop Menon plays Raveendran, a meteorological department employee with a suspicious streak — particularly toward his wife, played by Sheelu. 'He's a husband who is always doubting his wife,' she shared during the press meet, 'but it's not heavy or dramatic. The humour is situational, and everyone around him brushes off his suspicions, which leads to a lot of light-hearted moments.' Sheelu, who's mostly played intense or professional roles in the past — doctors, lawyers, police officers — found the role of Bindu refreshing. 'I've played a homemaker only a couple of times before, in Pattabhiraman and Aadupuliyattam. Bindu is a more grounded, family-oriented character — quite different from what I usually do,' she explains. Comfort in familiar company This marks Sheelu's fourth film with Anoop Menon, and their second outing as an on-screen couple after Kanal. 'We share a good friendship and understanding, which really helps in front of the camera. There's a comfort level that makes performing easier,' she notes. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like This Could Be the Best Time to Trade Gold in 5 Years IC Markets Learn More Undo Also joining the cast is Dhyan Sreenivasan in a key role. While Sheelu doesn't reveal much about his character, she hints at his significance to the plot and the comic tone of the film. Music, writing, and more The film features two songs composed by Prakash Ulliyeri, with none other than Shankar Mahadevan and Hariharan lending their voices. A third song will be released exclusively on a video-sharing platform, keeping with the new-age promotional style. Raveendra Nee Evide - Official Trailer Sheelu also reunites with screenwriter Krishna Poojappura, known for his light, clever writing. 'His strength lies in subtle humour and strong character quirks,' she says. Directed by Manoj Palodan and produced by Abraham Mathew under Abaam Movies, 'Raveendra Nee Evide' aims to tick all the boxes for a clean, family-friendly entertainer.
