Meet the UK's Visa Scam Vigilante
When a staffing crisis during the pandemic forced the UK to open its immigration system to foreign social care workers, thousands of trained staff in developing countries saw an opportunity to relocate and perhaps make a better life. Five years later, many instead have found themselves still in their home country with their savings gone. On this episode of Bloomberg Investigates, we meet a few of the victims of an insidious scam that's relieved care workers of untold thousands of dollars. We meet Tadiwa, a young man from Zimbabwe whose family scraped together everything they had to secure him a job in the UK. But the documents a business agent promised him, which would have allowed him to apply for a visa, never arrived. Sheila, who wanted to move from Harare to the UK with her daughters, gave most of her savings to the same agent, and received nothing in return. To get by, she's had to sell bricks she bought to build her house and even her refrigerator.

A personal stylist (and mum) shares the two comfiest pants you can own
This story is part of the July 20 edition of Sunday Life. See all 13 stories. Each week, we quiz a prominent person about their style and the inspiration behind it. Ahead, personal stylist Liv Brown. How would you describe your style? I wear lots of patterns – I feel most myself in animal print. There's always something oversized, and heaps of fun accessories. What's the oldest thing in your wardrobe? My mum's wedding ring and some of her old handbags. A black leather bag with silver studs from the '90s is a favourite. And the most recent addition? A Blanca matching denim set – jeans and an oversized shirt – in black-and-white zebra stripes. Sets are easy because I feel put together without having to think. What would you wear … on a first date? A denim set with kitten heels and my fluffy Mane by Stable 'Sheila' bag. … on a plane? I know people are into their airport fits, but I just go comfy in sports leggings, a colourful, oversized Jungles Jungles hoodie and my Nike 'TN' sneakers. … on the red carpet? I'm dying to wear a custom dress by Melbourne designer Van Der Kooij. Loading What's your favourite fashion era? The 1960s for the miniskirts, chunky boots, shift dresses and prints. Who are your favourite designers? Locally, its Blanca, Van Der Kooij and P.A.M. (Perks and Mini) for their cool graphic tees. European brands I like are Stine Goya for the prints and great bags, and Baum und Pferdgarten for the cool Scandi vibe. I also love Ganni – it's cool and feminine but not 'pretty'. What's your fragrance of choice? I wear Rabanne 'Olympea'.

The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers: Deacon and Sheila question Luna's death?
When you buy through links on our articles, Future and its syndication partners may earn a commission. Now that Sheila has been told that Luna didn't survive surgery on The Bold and the Beautiful, will she and Deacon accept her loss, or will they start to ask more questions? If Deacon (Sean Kanan) hadn't persisted with questioning Sheila's (Kimberlin Brown) death (nine toes for the win!), then they never would have discovered that Sugar, Sheila's body double, was keeping Sheila locked up. We have to think that Sheila will want to see Luna's (Lisa Yamada) body, but if Li (Naomi Matsuda) took Luna away, then there will be no body to be seen. This will likely lead both Sheila and Deacon to start asking questions. And when there are no logical answers to those questions, then Sheila and Deacon will have even more reasons to wonder what's really going on. For Deacon, not knowing Luna's whereabouts is more of an issue of personal safety. He knows she's dangerous, and he knows that everyone he loves is a target, including Sheila, because Luna already shot Sheila. So what's to stop her from doing it again? Unlike his quest to find Sheila, which was rooted in his love for her, Deacon asking questions will be more about finding out where she really is to keep people safe. At the moment, Sheila is probably the only person who truly cares about the fate of her granddaughter. Oddly enough, Luna's other grandmother (and also aunt), Li, suddenly sprouted feelings for the young woman and seems to be on a journey to give Luna a fresh start at life by sneaking her out of the hospital. (This is pure speculation, but we have to think Li took Luna somewhere to keep her from going back to jail and used the 'she died in recovery' excuse to cover it up.) Sheila would be a great accomplice for Li. She's going to need help with Luna's recovery, and Sheila would be willing to step in, so long as Deacon isn't aware of it. It's hard to imagine a world where Li and Sheila would work together, but then again, we never imagined Li having any sympathy for Luna, either. The Bold and the Beautiful airs weekdays on CBS and the following day on Paramount Plus. Check your local listings to see when it comes on where you are.

#SHOWBIZ: Sheila Majid urges celebrities to be wiser on social media
KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia's Queen of Jazz, Datuk Sheila Majid, is urging fellow celebrities to use social media with more thought, warning that too much time online can harm their emotional well-being."We need to be smarter about how we use social media. I'm old-school, so when I post, it's purely to share useful information or raise awareness," the 60-year-old singer told Berita Harian today. Sheila added that she takes her time before posting anything, especially photos, to avoid any negative reactions. "Not everyone is going to like us. I always think very carefully before uploading anything." To protect her mental health, she also steers clear of reading harsh comments. "I don't bother with hurtful remarks. Who knows who they are; it could be an eight-year-old. There's no need to argue; they just want attention." Sheila also manages her own Instagram account and never uses it to vent her frustrations. "There's no benefit in posting when you're angry," she said, though she acknowledged that every celebrity has their own approach. "If someone wants to post eight selfies a day, that's entirely up to them."
