9-to-5 Hater B. Simone Dragged After Saying She's Now Forced To Shop At H&M Due To Money Problems

Source: Paras Griffin / Getty Through talent and hustle, entrepreneur/comedian/actress/social media personality B. Simone made her way to more than five million followers and a career that includes Wild 'n Out, the Let's Try This Again podcast, and a new app, LTTA. But it's the app that has her reconsidering her finances these days. On the June 16 episode of Let's Try This Again, Simone shared with her BFF, Shekinah, that she was facing some financial challenges. This was only after Shekinah shared her own struggles. However, Simone's response left her fan base a little underwhelmed, as she mentioned that her struggles included a change in her shopping habits. 'I feel like it's a breakthrough with what I'm creating with the app,' Simone said, tearing up. 'Just, my finances. Like, the budgeting. You see how I am—nitpicking every little thing. I've never been like that. We were in Bloomingdale's yesterday. I'm like, 'We have to go to H&M..' And I notice in me now, just nitpicking. I just don't have it to spend – the liquid. I'm used to having liquid. And because I've invested in this app, in this platform, I don't have the liquid. I got the money, but not yet. It's coming. I have it in assets, I have it in jewelry. I'm used to seeing a certain amount in my account.' However, some folks felt she diminished Shekinah's struggles, after Shekinah confessed that she'd had some hard times, but never reached out to Simone for help. 'Being a best friend with a celebrity – everybody thinks that because you're connected to this person, that your life is just as grand as theirs or they got it or they're helping you….baby, didn't have a job, living with my parents, as a single mom….Nobody gave me a handout,' Shekinah shared. 'But guess what … that wasn't your responsibility.' She added, 'God has to take me through that for my own season, for my own thing. I had to get my car repossessed. I had to go through the food stamp line. I had to be on Medicaid. … As a friend of somebody who has it … it's hard to digest.' It appears that B. Simone has yet to read the room. She's already been criticized for charging, yes, charging to have people see her processing grief after her friend Jacky Oh, another influencer, suddenly passed away two years ago. For her to say her comedown was having to shop at a fast fashion retailer after her bestie confessed she'd nearly lost it all struck most as tone-deaf, to say the least. The backlash came quickly with full columns on Ice Cream Convos and Ebony about how success has gone to B. Simone's head. Comments on her IG and YouTube accounts were even harsher. Under posts where the self-proclaimed Christian discussed God working in her life, many questioned her faith and compassion. 'At some point, we have to say it plainly, B. Simone, please log out,' the Ebony op-ed, penned by columnist Victor Qunnuell Vaughns, Jr., reads. 'May this type of friend never find me,' more than one IG user posted on a clip about avoiding 'the noise.' Another posted, 'And you are not a real friend, how could you let your BF struggle like that?' 'Mmh… Oprah would NEVER let Gayle. There are so many things to be said. I love that you said your story is still being written,' one commenter pointed out. On IG, another post said, 'I'm looking for yo friend page so I can tell her to get tf away from you & STAY AWAY! it's gone take more than that religion to fix that spirit.' How did we get here? Maybe it's just the way media personalities evolve – or devolve – once they reach a certain success. They have to keep feeding their fan bases with new and improved content as they move further and further away from relatability while earning more money and followers. It's a Catch-22 that is unique to content creators as they must continue to feed the content machine, based not on their accomplishments, but on the personality that led them to success in the first place. 'We're in a cultural era where influencers are becoming pastors, therapists, and lifestyle coaches all in one—without the credentials or emotional intelligence to back it up,' Vaughns continues. 'And B. Simone might be the loudest example of that pipeline.' may yet respond to the backlash – hopefully, for free. See social media's reaction below. 9-to-5 Hater B. 90 Day Fiancé Revealed Some Shocking Sarper Lore That I Totally Don't Remember Freaking Out About Before

Stream it with a Max subscription and read at your own risk! It's been a particularly wild 90 Day Fiancé season for Shekinah Garner and Sarper Güven, as the longtime couple is closer than ever to tying the least seemingly. Unfortunately, it feels like their relationship is becoming increasingly more chaotic as the wedding date approaches, with prenup discussions escalating into demands about weight clauses and other bonkers issues. All of that was confusing to me until that detail dropped about Sarper's past that had my brain scrambling to recall if earlier episodes touched on it or not. I remembering hearing about Sarper's first heartbreak taking place in his youth, and how it led to him allegedly sleeping with thousands of women, which perhaps had me thinking he spent his entire adulthood as a sexed-up single. But as he casually mentioned in the the latest episode, Sarper was actually married at one point in his early 30s, and my mind was blown. 90 Day Fiancé showed Shekinah making travel preparations for their wedding while noting that Sarper was nowhere to be found, and was also not answering his phone. She used an airtag on his keys to find he was at a nearby coffee shop, and producers sent cameras out to find him and ask why he wasn't present with everyone else getting ready to leave for the wedding. Max: Plans start from $9.99 a monthIf you're looking to stream 90 Day Fiancé, a subscription to Max is a great idea. Pay $9.99 a month for its With Ads plan, and with three tiers available, there's some flexibility in how to pay. You can also prepay for a year and save up to 20%.View Deal Sarper appeared flustered and essentially confessed that he had cold feet, fearing that he was making a mistake in getting married again. He then reflected on how his marriage from 15 years ago turned out to be a complete disaster, and how it led to him isolating his family to try and prevent drama with his ex-wife. All while I stared ahead totally agog. As someone who has watched Shekinah and Sarper since he revealed the diary that proved he slept with 2,500 women, I do not remember ever hearing him talk about being married previously. I'm pretty sure I would have clocked such a noteworthy update, given his lothario persona. At the same time, he dropped that tidbit so casually to the cameras, and without 90 Day Fiancé making a bigger point of setting it up as a big reveal. Which makes me think I must have missed an episode or Tell-All conversation along the way where that was mentioned. In any case, I feel like that past experience totally explained his recent erratic behavior, and justified him feeling less assured than ever about marrying Shekinah. Now that I know Sarper was previously in a bad marriage, it makes some of the more bizarre behaviors he exhibits in his relationship with Shekinah make sense. He likes the control of things like designing her nose job, maybe because he felt he had zero control in his previous serious relationship. More On 90 Day Fiancé I Really Like 90 Day: Hunt For Love's Premiere, And The Show Is Giving Me One Thing The Other Spinoffs Typically Lack Sarper is acting out because he's afraid of another failed marriage, and considering the growing number of 90 Day couples who split after saying their vows, I don't blame him. That said, for all the weirdness I've seen from him and Shekinah over the years, I'm not sure I've seen a couple that is as in love as the two of them. It may not be the most conventional relationship, but they do seem to be two people uniquely suited for each other. As for whether or not these two are still together, they are still actively sharing photos together on social media. I would take that as a positive sign they're still together, though I haven't seen any concrete evidence in searching the internet that they are officially married. Perhaps we'll find out why by the time the season is over. New episodes of 90 Day Fiancé air on TLC on Sundays at 8:00 p.m. ET. There's so much drama happening with every couple right now, so be sure to get current and catch up on what's happening and get ready for the eventual tell-all.

90 Day Fiancé's Tell-All Kicked Off With A Massive Shekinah And Sarper Update, But How Are Things Now?

When you buy through links on our articles, Future and its syndication partners may earn a commission. Warning! The following contains spoilers for the 90 Day Fiancé Season 11 episode "Tell All Part 1." Stream it with a Max subscription, and read at your own risk! 90 Day Fiancé Season 11 is at the tell-all stage, and the cast wasted no time in getting right into all their drama. I suppose that has to happen with this special being only two parts, which is also surprising to me, given that I feel we could devote an entire segment to discussing what's going on with Shekinah and Sarper Güven. The longtime 90 Day couple were finally wed, and Shaun Robinson shared the rest of the cast's curiosity over how it was going. This was the duo's most eventful season to date, as it started with Sarper worrying he wouldn't get to come to America, and ended with him nearly calling off the whole thing due to fear it would turn out like his first marriage. It was a lot of drama to unpack, and it turned out there was even more to share that occurred after the cameras stopped rolling. I guess I should've seen this coming when Sarper demanded a "weight clause" in any prenuptial agreement he was going to sign, but I was just as shocked as everyone onscreen when Shekinah realized their marriage was not going well. They both arrived at the tell-all separately and had slept in separate hotel rooms the night before the filming. More On 90 Day Fiancé 90 Day Fiancé's Throuple Is Having Problems, But I Feel Like Any Has A Valid Reason For Lying About True Relationship With Matt And Amani As for what the problem was, it seemed the couple was struggling to figure out their new dynamic living in the United States. Sarper said he likes to be the dominant one, but since moving in with Shekinah, he's been very reliant on her for a lot of things. Gone are the days when he joyfully designed the shape of her new nose job; this couple is just trying to survive living under one roof. After watching the episiode, I had to see how things looked for Shekinah and Sarper on social media. Much to my surprise, it doesn't seem as though this 90 Day couple split after marriage, and things look to be relatively normal between them on social media. Whether you visit Shekinah's page, Sarper's, or their couple's account, it seems like they're still spending a lot of time together and are in love. It seems like months after filming, the marriage is going well, or maybe they were playing up the drama for the sake of getting some extra screen time in the future. After all, happy and healthy couples don't get resort time on 90 Day: The Last Resort. Max: Plans start from $9.99 a monthIf you're looking for 90 Day Fiancé on streaming, getting HBO Max is a must. Pay $9.99 a month for its With Ads plan, and with three tiers available, there are options in how to pay. You can also prepay for a year and save up to 20%.View Deal It's entirely possible that the Güvens were having issues in their marriage at the time of the tell-all, but my main takeaway right now is that there is currently no evidence of that on social media. Sure, Instagram doesn't always tell the whole story of what goes on behind closed doors, but neither does reality television. if I had to guess at where things stand for them at the present, I think their marriage is going okay. 90 Day Fiancé's tell-all continues on TLC on Sundays at 8:00 p.m. ET. Make sure to set an alarm for next Sunday, because there's a lot more drama to get to with the other couples before this season officially closes out.

Chelsea show garden moved to Plymouth centre for homeless

A garden which won awards at this year's Chelsea Flower Show has found a new home in Plymouth. The Pathway Garden was inspired by the theme of homelessness and won the Silver-Gilt Medal and Best Environmental Innovation has been installed at the Shekinah centre - a charity which supports homeless people in Plymouth. John Hamblin, the charity's chief executive, said the installation had been "transformational" for people who visit. 'Forever home' He said: "People who come here say what a beautiful place to come and sit and just be, and be present."Allon Hoskin, the co-designer of the garden, said it was designed to show the path as a metaphor for a journey out of homelessness." You start with quite a complex paving system which signifies confusion maybe, difficult journeys, boulders, it's a narrow path," he said."It opens up and as you turn the corner and go towards the bench and the water bowl it signifies symbolically rest and sustenance."Everything in the garden is recycled and upcycled and the fact its forever home is in Devon is wonderful."

Shekinah Garner and Sarper Güven Marry in Bed for '90 Day Fiancé''s 90th Wedding (Exclusive)

90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way stars Shekinah Garner and Sarper Güven got married in bed on Nov. 11, 2024 The wedding — or as they say, "bedding" — marks the 90th wedding in 90 Day Fiancé history "Getting married means forever to us. It means meeting every phase of life together from here on out, good and bad!" the couple tells PEOPLE90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way stars Shekinah Garner and Sarper Güven have wed — in bed! The couple — who met in Turkey and got engaged during season 5 of the hit TLC series — got married on Nov. 11, 2024, at the Mondrian's penthouse in West Hollywood in what they're calling a "bedding" (yes, a wedding in a bed!). "We found the idea of marriage so scary, so we thought why not make it less scary and do our vows where we are most comfy — in bed?!" Shekinah tells PEOPLE. "We spend an insane amount of time in bed, and believe it or not, we actually don't have a dining room table to eat at, so we eat all of our meals in bed!" she explains. "We binge-watch our favorite shows there, work on our laptops from there, nap there every day, and, of course, we love to gossip and have our pillow talk in bed." The pair's "unconventional" yet "elegant" ceremony marks a major milestone in the franchise as the 90th wedding in 90 Day Fiancé history. No guests were in attendance, apart from the camera crew who filmed the wedding for 90 Day Fiancé season 11, episode 18. Just because the reality television star was getting married in bed doesn't mean she wanted it to look like she just rolled out of bed. She wore a sexy, white lace minidress with a nude corset from Heiress Beverly Hills. "I found it when scrolling on Instagram, and I loved the way it was giving both bridal and lingerie — perfect for a bed wedding!" Shekinah shares. "It's not expensive, but it is unique and I felt beautiful in it, and that's what mattered most." Sarper also showed some skin wearing a black, sleeveless vest. Although the groom wore tuxedo cuff links and a bow tie, he skipped the undershirt and chose to expose his tattooed chest. is now available in the Apple App Store! Download it now for the most binge-worthy celeb content, exclusive video clips, astrology updates and more! The couple's room also needed to match the vibe. Shekinah's cousin, Courtney, served as the wedding planner. She helped spice up the decor, which originally wasn't the bride and groom's taste but was one of the only hotels that allowed filming. "I love opulence and glamour, so the chandeliers and flowers were everything!" Shekinah says. "It was important that it didn't feel casual and sloppy — no slippers or messy hair!" she continues. "I wanted it to be in bed but feel elegant and classy. I wanted the cityscape of Los Angeles in the background and chandeliers above us. I wanted a breeze coming in to give a light and airy feel to the room." J'Adore Les Fleurs provided "the prettiest blooms," and the couple's late grandmothers were honored through the flower selections. Sarper's grandmother, Sevim, loved roses while his other grandmother, Muzo, loved lavender, so both florals were included in the arrangements and bridal bouquet. Orchids were also incorporated to honor Shekinah's grandmother, LaVerne. The bride also wore her ring to "feel her presence." Nearby was a framed letter from Sarper's father, who wrote a "beautiful" letter to Shekinah, asking her to "take his son in marriage and love him for the rest of [her] life." "It was really important that we get married on 11/11," Shekinah notes. "Those are my angel numbers; I see them everywhere all the time. That date just happened to fall toward the very end of the 90-day time period for our fiancé visa. We were lucky that it was just within that time frame (barely!). Also, the year 2024 was the year I wanted to get married because 2+0+2+4=8 (8 is the eternity symbol!)." While Shekinah wrote her wedding vows in advance, Sarper decided to "say his feelings in the moment," which resulted in "meaningul" and "moving" sentiments from his heart. Because wedding officiants were declining left and right after discovering the ceremony was taking place in bed, the couple decided to not tell their officiant, Chris Robinson, about the location until "it would be too late to back out." "He was great," Shekinah says. "He hid his shock well and went through the motions in good spirit and was very professional." Shekinah and Sarper sliced into a cream-colored wedding cake from Cake Studio LA decorated with their matching initials "SG" in gold on one side, and their wedding date "11:11" on the other. The vanilla chiffon cake was praline-flavored with layered hazelnut toffee caramel meringue buttercream. "Getting married means forever to us," the couple says. "It means meeting every phase of life together from here on out, good and bad! We are committed to loving each other for a lifetime and honored to be chosen by the other. We truly feel meant to be." The pair are "excited to build a life together," such as purchasing their first home and adopting many pets, including dogs, cats and goats. Professionally, Sarper will pursue comedy while Shekinah is working to establish herself in the beauty industry. "We dream of having the biggest, most comfy bed in the future to spend lots of time in and make new memories in!" Shekinah says. Read the original article on People
