Viewers took to social media to hit out with one saying: "This isn't a UK tour, it's an England tour - you have excluded the whole of Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland." Meanwhile, another said: "Really poor show that there is no Scotland venue when last year's winner was from Scotland and there has been plenty of Scottish contenders and Sabre is from Scotland." Now organisers have been forced to add a Scottish date after so many avid fans of the BBC telly hit got in touch. A tour team spokesman said: "After record-breaking ticket sales, with London selling out in just 24 hours and Birmingham within four days, Gladiators Live Tour has answered Scottish fans' calls, announcing an electrifying visit to Glasgow's OVO Hydro." The show promises an adrenaline-fuelled two-hour spectacle starring the hulking heroes from the hit BBC series, packed with fan-favourite events and the legendary Eliminator. Purpose-built sets, state-of-the-art lighting and jaw-dropping stunts are promised for the family friendly experience. Over five weekends, the tour visits key UK cities for 20 spectacular shows, each with matinee and evening performances. Fans will witness dynamic battles between iconic Gladiators and daring contenders from the series. I was calling for the tour to extend outside of England and it has happened and the show will finally be coming to OVO Hydro in Glasgow. Absolutely brilliant! "I love the new show and, of course, the best Gladiator is Scottish. That's the lovely Sabre, of course, aka Sheli McCoy. It just goes to show, 'Good things come to those who wait'."
