Rich Shertenlieb announces fund-raising venture after wife's cancer diagnosis

As Shertenlieb's longtime listeners know, cancer research is a deeply personal cause for his family. Shertenlieb's wife, Mary, is a three-time cancer survivor. She was diagnosed with a recurrence of leukemia in November, 12 years after her initial diagnosis. 'She is one of the toughest people on the planet,' he said. He said he can't put into words his appreciation for how important Dana-Farber has been to his wife and family.
