During the handover ceremony, JHCO Secretary-General Hussein Shibli expressed gratitude to Germany for its continuous support, the Jordan NEws Agency, Petra, reported. 'This generous contribution will significantly enhance our ability to deliver essential humanitarian aid to the people of Gaza,' he said. Shibli emphasised that the addition of 32 trucks underscores the importance of international solidarity in addressing humanitarian crises. He also reiterated JHCO's commitment to working with its partners to ensure the safe and efficient delivery of aid to those in dire need. German Ambassador to Jordan Bertram von Moltke described the Jordanian humanitarian corridor as 'a lifeline for Gaza and its residents, who are in urgent need of aid.' He expressed hope that Germany's support would help facilitate the delivery of vital humanitarian and relief assistance. He also commended the ongoing collaboration between JHCO, the Jordan Armed Forces–Arab Army (JAF), and the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS), emphasising that their efforts have transformed the corridor into a crucial humanitarian hub. Also on Wednesday, the JAF, through the Royal Medical Services, received the seventh batch of medical aid from Germany, which includes essential medicines and medical equipment. The aid was delivered in the presence of Brigadier General Assistant Director-General of the Royal Medical Services for Medical Affairs and Regions Sahel Hammouri, and German Ambassador. The supplies will be sent to Jordan's field hospitals operating in Gaza. "With today's shipment, German humanitarian aid has provided around 16 tonnes of medical supplies and pharmaceuticals to Jordan's field hospitals in Gaza since 2023," the German ambassador said, commednding the Royal Medical Services for ensuring the delivery of critical assistance to civilians in need. He reaffirmed Germany's commitment to continuing its support with additional humanitarian shipments. Hammouri also expressed gratitude to the German government for its support of the Royal Medical Services amid the ongoing crisis in Gaza. He emphasised the importance of strengthening international cooperation during humanitarian emergencies to save lives and deliver high-quality, effective medical care to alleviate suffering in the region.

Speaking to Al Mamlaka TV, Shibli said that since October 7, Jordan has dispatched 176 aid convoys, comprising 7,700 trucks, to Gaza, noting that 42 convoys entered the Strip since the start of the truce. He also that the volume of aid sent during this period was three times higher than in previous comparable periods. Shibli highlighted that JHCO has ramped up aid deliveries ahead of Ramadan, ensuring the distribution of essential food supplies to meet growing needs. He also stressed that the organisation will continue intensifying efforts throughout the holy month. He also underscored the World Food Programme (WFP) as a key partner in coordinating aid shipments and facilitating their entry into Gaza. Cooperation with the WFP and other international organisations, he said, enhances the efficiency of aid distribution by optimising logistics, resources, and supply chains. Shibli also noted that friendly nations recognise Jordan's Humanitarian Corridor as the official route for aid deliveries to Gaza through international organisations and governments.

The three organisations will cooperate on the planning, deployment and continuous supply of medical resources for these hospitals, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. Their joint efforts will focus on supporting affected communities and optimising resources to ensure the successful establishment and long-term sustainability of these facilities, the JHCO said. JHCO Secretary General Hussein Shibli emphasised that Gaza's healthcare system is facing unprecedented challenges, making the support of emergency hospitals and medical facilities a top priority. 'Through this partnership, JHCO will play a crucial role in facilitating the delivery of medical aid and ensuring the continuity of essential healthcare services to save lives during these difficult times,' Shibli said. This initiative is part of JHCO's ongoing relief efforts, which span various sectors to address the needs of the people of Gaza, Shibli said. Al Quds University President Imad Abu Kishk underscored the urgency of the initiative, highlighting the dire humanitarian crisis in Gaza. He stressed that the establishment of field hospitals is not only a necessity but a moral obligation that must not be delayed. "These hospitals will provide critical medical care to children and mothers who are in urgent need of assistance," he added. Abu Kishk also reaffirmed the university's commitment to leveraging its resources, expertise and international partnerships to ensure the successful implementation of the project. He expressed gratitude to the JHCO for its ongoing support and cooperation in this vital humanitarian effort. This MoU marks a significant step in fostering international cooperation to support Gaza's healthcare sector, ensuring that life-saving medical services reach those who need them most.

The JHCO noted that over 12,000 tents had been delivered prior to the truce, bringing the total number of tents sent to Gaza to over 74,000, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra. These efforts are part of Jordan's continuous relief operations, which are carried out under the directives of His Majesty King Abdullah, the JHCO added. JHCO Secretary-General Hussein Shibli highlighted that initial assessments had anticipated a need for only 30,000 tents, but updated figures revealed that over 500,000 displaced individuals urgently required shelter. Shibli emphasised that Jordan was one of the first countries to offer comprehensive support to Gaza, providing food, medical supplies, and relief goods despite numerous logistical challenges. He also reaffirmed Jordan's commitment to assisting its Palestinian brothers and sisters during these dire humanitarian conditions. He added that the aid is being delivered via a land bridge in coordination with the Jordan Armed Forces–Arab Army (JAF) to ensure direct distribution to displaced individuals who have lost their homes. He affirmed that Jordan's support for Gaza has never stopped and will continue, especially as the humanitarian crisis worsens. Shibli reiterated that under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah, Jordan will remain steadfast in supporting the people of Gaza with all available resources. He stressed that relief convoys will not stop until aid reaches every person in need, in line with Jordan's deep-rooted humanitarian and fraternal commitment.
