BJP to honour martyrs today
Kanpur: Local unit of Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) will felicitate the family members of Kargil martyrs and those who had participated in the war on the occasion of
Kargil victory day
on Saturday. In a meeting under the chairmanship of Shiv Ram Singh, the party workers discussed the preparations.
Regional head of Kanpur – Bundelkhand region, Prakash Pal, stated that a symposium would also be held at BJP headquarter.
He stated that on this occasion, sapling would be planted in the name of mothers of martyrs. A
cleanliness drive
was launched near the statues of martyrs and statues would be garlanded to pay them tribute. Prakash Pal stated that all divisional head would invite at least ten soldiers in the symposium. The 'Man ki Baat' programme of PM Narendra Modi would be heard at booth level.
