Pavilion KL rated five stars, a must-visit for Chinese tourists
KUALA LUMPUR: Pavilion Kuala Lumpur has been rated the highest 5-star mall on Dianping, China's largest lifestyle and review site, and is the only mall in Peninsular Malaysia to receive the platform's Popular Stores in the Shopping Mall 2025 award.
The accolade from Dianping, often called the "Yelp of China", names the mall as a must-visit destination for Chinese travellers, who contributed over RM31 billion to Malaysia's tourism receipts in 2024.
The award is based on millions of reviews and ratings from Dianping's 400 million users, recognising malls that deliver exceptional retail, dining and lifestyle experiences.
Pavilion KL chief executive officer (Retail) Datuk Joyce Yap said the mall stood out among Chinese visitors for its curated mix of global brands, signature events and immersive cultural attractions.
"Chinese travellers are among our most discerning visitors and this accolade reflects our unwavering commitment to crafting extraordinary retail and lifestyle experiences.
"From first-time visitors discovering Malaysia to loyal patrons who call Pavilion their favourite destination, we ensure every visit is nothing short of exceptional," Yap said in a statement.
Since opening in 2007, Pavilion KL has expanded beyond traditional retail into a cultural and lifestyle hub, earning 60 local and international awards, including from the International Council of Shopping Centers and the Malaysia Shopping Malls Association.
