Pakistan's Ambassador to Egypt Presents Credentials to Arab League Chief in Cairo

Israa Farhan Pakistan's Ambassador to Egypt, Aamir Shouket, formally presented his Letter of Credence to the Secretary General of the Arab League, Ahmed Aboul Gheit, at the League's Secretariat in Cairo today. The meeting underscored Pakistan's deepening interest in strengthening institutional ties with the Arab League and its member states. Both sides held wide-ranging discussions on bilateral cooperation, with a strong emphasis on enhancing Pakistan's engagement with the Arab world on critical regional and international matters. Central to the dialogue was the Palestinian issue, which remains a cornerstone of Arab League priorities. Shouket reaffirmed Pakistan's steadfast support for the Palestinian cause, highlighting Islamabad's consistent stance on the establishment of a sovereign Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital. Secretary General Aboul Gheit acknowledged Pakistan's unwavering diplomatic backing and welcomed deeper coordination on this front. Egyptian Council for Foreign Affairs Hosts Pakistani Ambassador for Bilateral Talks

H-Tayea The Egyptian Council for Foreign Affairs (ECFA), one of Egypt's leading foreign policy think tanks, hosted Ambassador Aamir Shouket of Pakistan for an official meeting with Ambassador Mohamed Al-Orabi, President of the Council and former Egyptian Foreign Minister. The meeting reflected the growing momentum in Egypt–Pakistan relations and underscored both sides' interest in exploring new avenues for cooperation across regional and global platforms. SEENEWS Embassy of Pakistan Press Release Embassy of Pakistan Cairo observed "Youm-e-Tashakur" today to pay homage to the entire Pakistani nation and the Armed Forces for their profound national unity and bravery during "Operation Bunyan-un-Marsoos" and ' Marka-e-Haq'. A Flag Hoisting Ceremony was held at the Chancery where Ambassador Aamir Shouket hoisted the National Flag to the tune of the National Anthem. During his remarks, Ambassador Aamir Shouket lauded unparalleled resolve of the entire nation against unabated Indian aggression steered by our brave political leadership and professional Armed Forces of Pakistan. He paid glowing tributes to the Armed Forces of Pakistan for defending the sovereignty, security and territorial integrity of the motherland. Ambassador Shouket underscored that Pakistan effectively fought its case at the diplomatic front. The international community praised Pakistan's position of impartial investigation. Pakistan's befitting response to the hegemonic designs of India was covered by the global media. Ambassador thanked the Egyptian government for welcoming the ceasefire. He noted that Pakistan is a peace loving nation and has only exercised its right to self defense against naked Indian aggression and does not want any escalation in the region. Pakistan marks 85th National Day with Cairo reception

The Pakistani embassy in Cairo hosted a reception on April 8, 2025, to commemorate Pakistan's 85th National Day. Egypt's Minister of Public Business Sector, Engineer Mohamed Shimi, served as chief guest. Ambassador Aamir Shouket, in his address, paid tribute to Pakistan's founding fathers and the leadership of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. He highlighted Pakistan's strategic location as a connectivity hub and gateway for South Asia, Central Asia, the Middle East, and China. 'Pakistan, being the fifth most populous country, is strategically placed to serve as connectivity hub, conduit for energy, economic and maritime gateway for South Asia, Central Asia, Middle East and China,' Shouket said. 'With a significant youth bulge, cost effective workforce and tremendous natural resources, Pakistan is an ideal destination for trade and investment.' Shouket also detailed the current government's efforts towards macroeconomic stability, ease of doing business, and inflation reduction, emphasizing the role of the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) in attracting foreign investment. He noted a recent increase in tourism due to a more liberal visa regime. The ambassador expressed satisfaction with recent high-level exchanges between Pakistani and Egyptian leaders, aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation in political, economic, defence, cultural, health, and educational areas. 'Appreciating the deep-rooted fraternal ties between Pakistan and Egypt, Ambassador Aamir Shouket noted with satisfaction the recent high level exchanges between the leadership of the two brotherly countries to further strengthen bilateral political, economic, defence, cultural, health, and educational cooperation,' a statement from the embassy said. Shimi, in his remarks, congratulated Pakistan and reiterated Egypt's commitment to enhancing bilateral cooperation. The reception included a cultural performance by students of the Pakistan International School Cairo, showcasing Pakistani art and culture. A cake-cutting ceremony and an exhibit of Pakistani arts, crafts, cultural heritage, and export potential were also part of the event. A congratulatory message from Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi was delivered by the Chamberlain of the Egyptian Presidency. The event was attended by numerous Egyptian government officials, diplomats, business representatives, academics, journalists, and members of the Pakistani community in Egypt.
