8 Ektaa Kapoor Shows whose title tracks shaped our childhoods and played on loop in our heads

As the content queen turns the big 50 tomorrow, here's looking back at the iconic tunes of her shows that cued the nation to get glued to their TV screens read more There was a magic to coming home, switching on the TV, and hearing that tune play. Before social media spoilers and binge-watching, we waited all day just to hear those familiar title tracks, songs that felt like home. Whether it was Tulsi's walk down the hall or Prerna standing in the rain, Ektaa Kapoor's shows began with music that instantly pulled us in. Those tunes weren't just intros; they were memories in motion, the background score to our growing-up years. STORY CONTINUES BELOW THIS AD As the content queen turns the big 50 tomorrow, here's looking back at the iconic tunes of her shows that cued the nation to get glued to their TV screens. Safe to say Brand Ektaa is still going on strong Kasautii Zindagii Kay The iconic 'Pal…chhin…yaadon ki kasauti par har rishta utarta hai' voiceover, followed by that haunting flute and the legendary 'Kasautii Zindagii Kay' title track, made heartbreak sound poetic. The Anurag-Prerna saga wasn't just a story, it was a feel. Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii 'Sanskaar…parivaar…maryada…' This one opened with Smriti Irani's narration and was followed by a powerful aarti-style title track that defined Indian households for years. It made every home feel like the Agrawals'. Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 'Rishton ka chakravyuh hai, kyunki saas bhi kabhi bahu thi…' and of course, the melodious 'Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi' theme with Tulsi's slow walk into our hearts. It would be safe to say that Tulsi was a religion. Pavitra Rishta This was a newer era, but the title track 'Pavitra Rishta… teri meri kahaani hai' with gentle vocals captured the simplicity and warmth of Archana and Manav's love story. It felt like a warm cup of chai on a rainy day. Kasamh Se 'Kasamh se… Kasam se…',sung with such melancholic passion, this track became a slow-burn heartbreak anthem. Bani's journey struck a chord, and the title tune lived rent-free in our hearts. STORY CONTINUES BELOW THIS AD Naagin A complete reinvention of Indian TV! The Naagin title music was dramatic, eerie, and catchy AF. With every hiss and beat drop, it redefined supernatural drama and brought kitschy glamour back to the living room. Bade Achhe Lagte Hain The soft, retro-inspired 'Bade Achhe Lagte Hain…' crooned by Shreya Ghoshal and Trijay tugged at our hearts. It celebrated love blooming in adulthood, gently, unexpectedly, beautifully. A love anthem for the grown-up soul. Yeh Hai Mohabbatein The soulful title track 'Yeh hai mohabbatein… yeh hai mohabbatein…' set the tone for a layered, emotional love story between Ishita and Raman. Sung by Shreya Ghoshal, it wasn't just a song, a soft ache, a slow burn, and an anthem for second chances in love.

Fan travels ‘12,000 km' to see Shreya Ghoshal live in Mumbai on his birthday; singer gives him a sweet shoutout

Mumbai was buzzing with emotion and music as Shreya Ghoshal wrapped up the India leg of her All Hearts Tour with a sold-out finale that fans won't forget soon. But one particular moment from the night stood out and has since gone viral — a fan flew more than 12,000 km just to be there, and as fate would have it, the concert also fell on his birthday. In a now widely shared video, Ghoshal is seen pausing on stage as she notices a sign in the crowd. Reading it, she looks surprised and says, 'What, what, travelled 12,000 km? To be here? Thank you so much.' Spotting the birthday message too, she asks, 'Is it your birthday today?' The fan nods, and she warmly replies, 'Happy Birthday dude! So lovely. Thank you. Means a lot.' The touching exchange, captured on camera, was first posted by celebrity photographer Varinder Chawla and later reshared by the Instagram page 'thewhatup' with the caption, 'Fan travelled 12,000 km on his birthday to attend queen Shreya Ghoshal's concert in Mumbai.' A post shared by The Whatup (@thewhatup) Comments flooded in from all corners of the internet. One admirer pointed out, 'It's like she's singing with every word, even when she's just talking to the crowd,' while another gushed, 'She's being so sweet.' Someone else chimed in with, 'Imagine travelling 12,000 kilometres on your birthday to attend Shreya Ghoshal's concert.' Yet, even the way Ghoshal transitioned back into her set had people smiling. One amused user wrote, 'Anyone here who's wondering which place is 12000 km away from Bombay? Gurl said anyway yaar.' Moments like these – when artists connect with their fans – are what make live performances magical. And Shreya wasn't the only one recently to have such a heartwarming moment. At Grafest 2025, hosted by Graphic Era University in Dehradun, music director and singer Amit Trivedi also had a memorable encounter. Amid the crowd was Kaushik, a budding singer. But instead of staying in the audience, Kaushik found himself in the spotlight. In a video that quickly made the rounds, he was seen holding a mic, singing Yeh Fitoor Mera – a song composed by Trivedi himself and originally sung by Arijit Singh. As his voice soared through the venue, the crowd erupted in cheers while Trivedi, visibly touched, watched with pride and admiration.

Shreya Ghoshal pays emotional tribute to Indian Armed Forces during Mumbai concert: ‘Maa Tujhe Salaam is my way of touching their feet'

Patriotism took centre stage at Shreya Ghoshal 's All Hearts Tour concert in Mumbai, as the singer paused her set to pay tribute to the Indian Armed Forces . During her heartfelt rendition of AR Rahman's Maa Tujhe Salaam, Shreya became visibly emotional while addressing the crowd, leaving many in the audience teary-eyed and reflective. She acknowledged the peace and safety citizens enjoy because of the selfless service of Indian soldiers. 'Every second that we are standing here, we are not even having a single worry in our mind because there is somebody protecting us at the border," she said. 'Any place you ever see an army man, navy, or air force officer, we should touch their feet. This song is my way of touching their feet—a Charan Sparsh." The timing of the tribute added depth to her message, coming just days after India's Operation Sindoor and its swift retaliation to cross-border hostilities from Pakistan. Shreya thanked the armed forces for their unwavering courage and urged everyone to recognise their sacrifices beyond fleeting moments of gratitude. Calling for a shared expression of national unity, she told the audience, 'I would like that all our bands also be united in this. If everyone sings this together, then I think it will be a very beautiful feeling. I feel this is how we should remember this moment." As the crowd joined in singing Maa Tujhe Salaam, the concert hall transformed into a chorus of patriotic voices. More than just a musical performance, the evening became a reminder of the debt owed to the brave men and women who serve the country.
