(Photo Credits: Instagram) South Korean actor Shin Seung-ho will not be serving his mandatory military duty. He has been granted an exemption due to a serious knee injury. The exemption was related to a health issue that occurred a few years ago and was treated with surgery. The news of his exemption came to light on June 18 through local media reports. According to a report by TenAsia, Shin Seung-ho was diagnosed with an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) tear in 2021. He later underwent surgery to repair the torn ligament. His military exemption was finalised towards the end of that year. Following the report, his agency, KINGKONG by STARSHIP, also confirmed the development. 'In 2021, Shin Seung-ho sustained an ACL rupture during personal activities, underwent surgery, and was subsequently exempted from military service," it said in a statement as quoted by Soompi. Shin Seung-ho began his career in a completely different field before transitioning into acting. For 11 years, he played soccer and trained in the sport. He later retired from football and chose a different path. In 2016, he entered the entertainment world as a model. His acting career began in 2018 with the popular web drama A-Teen. Since then, he has taken on a variety of roles in different genres. He was part of several well-known shows, which included Do You Like Brahms?, D.P., Alchemy of Souls and Weak Hero Class 1. He is currently seen on the tvN variety show Handsome Guys. The show also stars Cha Tae Hyun, Kim Dong Hyun, Lee Yi Kyung and Oh Sang Wook. In the series, the cast travels across South Korea and explores different regions. They search for unique local spots, hidden treasures and lesser-known experiences. The aim of the show is to highlight South Korea's culture, natural beauty and the everyday lives of people in various areas. Next, Shin Seung-ho is set to return to the big screen with Omniscient Reader: The Prophet, directed by Kim Byung-woo. It is based on the famous webtoon Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint and serves as the first film in the multi-part series. Paresh Rawal Reacts To Fake Story Claiming Salman Khan Convinced Him To Attend Mother's Funeral

Published By : Shrishti Negi Trending Desk Last Updated: April 29, 2025, 11:34 IST Paresh Rawal played a significant role in Ready. (Photo Credits: Instagram) Paresh Rawal, one of the most prominent figures in the Indian film industry, recently, opened up about the fabricated story following the passing away of his mother in 2010. It was during the shooting of the comedy film Ready in Sri Lanka when the actor received the heartbreaking news of his mother's demise, after which a news portal claimed that the actor was reluctant to leave the shoot, and it was Salman Khan who had convinced him to return for the funeral. Speaking to The Lallantop, the Hera Pheri actor said, 'Woh jisne likhwai toh woh kisi ko please karne ke liye," (Whoever got that written did it to please someone). He firmly added that Salman would never do something like that. 'Mujhe achhi tarah yaad hai ki Salman Khan aisa nahi karega. Salman Khan ki family ko achhe se jaanta hoon, unki family true blooded hai (I clearly remember that Salman Khan would never do such a thing. I know Salman Khan's family well, they are true-blooded)." Furthermore, Paresh claimed that the story was completely fake, but admitted that several members of his family believed it and questioned him. 'Ghar mein saghe waale toh padhte hai na, unhone kaha yeh kya kiya tune, tumhari maa hai who (Family members at home read it, asking, what have you done, she was your mother)." Later, Paresh discovered who wrote the story. He warned that if the person ever came in front of him, they would face severe repercussions. He characterised the situation as 'gandagi" (filth) and expressed his disappointment. Talking about his mother's demise, the actor shared that his mother was ill, but the doctor told him he could leave for a three-day shoot because she was on life support and would be fine. However, his mother died shortly after he left town to shoot in Sri Lanka. 'I was in Lanka when my sister informed me that our mother was no more and I decided to return immediately," said Paresh. However, due to limited flights from Sri Lanka, the actor had to wait a full day before boarding a 3 am flight back to Mumbai. He attempted to distract himself from his strong emotions by filming a little sequence with Mahesh Manjrekar. 'Main kaha kuch hai, scene wagera toh kar daal warna main mar jaunga (I asked whether there was anything, a scene or something, Otherwise, I will die)," he recalled telling the director. Later on, upon his return to Mumbai, the actor discovered the fake story of Salman Khan convincing him to attend his mother's last rites.
