Busy Swindon A-road sees long delays caused by ‘emergency repairs'
Long delays have been reported on a major route through Swindon as 'emergency repairs' reportedly take place. Motorists travelling along the A420 today, July 31, have been experiencing heavy traffic near Shrivenham, with delays of up to 20 minutes reported. The AA Traffic News's interactive travel map shows queue ground to a standstill on the busy road. The warning reads: 'Partially blocked and queueing traffic due to emergency repairs on A420 both ways at Townsend Road (Bourton tun-off). Travel time is 20 minutes.' Although the notice does not provide more information, according to the Causeway interactive map, it appears the delays are not connected to any roadworks in the area.
