Earlier today, activist group Shut Down Leonardo Edinburgh, took responsibility for the incident, claiming the arms company 'supplies parts for the F-35 jets and Apache helicopters used in Israel's war against the Palestinians' adding 'as ordinary people, we felt compelled to take action to protest the Leonardo's role in genocide.' According to the Leonardo's Edinburgh website, the site employs around 1,800 people who 'specialise in the provision of multi-role surveillance radars and countermeasure systems'. The activist group said it targeted the factory in a bid to 'shut down' the site, which it claims supplies weapons and aircraft to Israel.
