TTD governing council announces key decisions
The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) Governing Council convened on Tuesday, July 22, and made several important decisions aimed at enhancing facilities and services for pilgrims. TTD Executive Officer Shyamala Rao briefed the media on the outcomes of the meeting. One of the key highlights was the discussion regarding the construction of Vaikuntam Q Complex-3. A decision on this project will be made following the recommendations of an appointed committee. The Council also committed to improving accommodation facilities for common devotees. In a move to bolster infrastructure, a committee will be established to oversee developments at Alipiri. The Council approved plans to enhance the Shila Toranam and Chakra Theertham, alongside another committee aimed at assessing the construction of temples nationwide. To expand the reach of the Srivari Seva initiative, coordinators will be appointed. Additionally, the establishment of a cyber security lab was approved to strengthen online safety measures. The need for improved sanitation at Kalyanakattala led to the decision to construct a new administrative building, replacing older structures. The meeting also announced the initiation of Annadanam services at the Ontimitta temple, with a funding allocation of Rs. 4.7 crore for the construction of a new Annadanam building. Furthermore, microphone sets will be provided to 320 temples, and the Council supported the appointment of 700 Vedic reciters, with Rs. 18 crore set aside for this initiative. An unemployment allowance will also be offered to 600 Vedic reciters. Finally, the construction of Bhajan Mandals at various temples in Andhra Pradesh through the Srivani Trust was approved, reflecting a broader commitment to enhance spiritual services across the region.

Koil Alwar Tirumanjanam ritual conducted at Tirumala temple
Tirumala: In a significant religious event, EO Shyamala Rao announced that the Koil Alwar Thirumanjanam was performed at the Tirumala Srivari Temple, adhering strictly to traditional scriptures. This temple purification ceremony coincided with the occasion of Anivara Asthanam. Rao elaborated that the Koil Alwar Thirumanjanam ritual will take place four times annually. It is customary to conduct a purification of the temple each Tuesday before major festivals, including Ugadi Asthanam, Anivara Asthanam, Brahmotsavam, and Vaikuntha Ekadashi. During the purification ceremony, the deity was first covered with a cloth, and the puja implements were cleansed. Furthermore, other sub-temples and the temple walls were purified using aromatic spices. Upon concluding the purification rites, special prayers and offerings were presented to the Lord. Devotees were then welcomed to have darshan following these sacred proceedings.

TTD board to implement anti-drone tech to strengthen security at Tirumala Temple
In a significant move to bolster security at one of the country's most revered pilgrimage sites, the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) Trust Board has approved the implementation of anti-drone technology around the Tirumala temple. The decision was taken during a board meeting on Tuesday at Annamaiah Bhavan. TTD Executive Officer Shyamala Rao announced the key decisions during the board decisions taken during the meeting included increasing the green cover on Tirumala Hills, developing the Temple development master plan, renaming guest houses in Tirumala, licensing canteens, developing the Akasa Ganga and Papavinasanam areas, supporting SVIMS superspeciality hospital, and establishing a transfer and retirement policy for non-Hindu of Annadanam services in Ontimitta, development of TTD Temple in Anantavaram, Thullur Mandal, AI rechnology development in TTD, employee promotions and improvement of cattle welfare in Goshala were also decided during the meeting of the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) decided not to allocate lands adjacent to the sacred seven hills to private individuals, according to the temple authorities, to preserve the sanctity of this globally renowned spiritual to the release, the TTD Board had previously resolved to exchange 24.68 acres of land located in Survey No. 604 of Peruru village, Tirupati Rural Mandal, owned by the Andhra Pradesh Tourism Authority (APTA), with an equivalent parcel of land owned by TTD in Survey No. 588-A of Tirupati release also stated that the TTD Board approved the exchange of an additional 10.32 acres in Survey No. 604 of Tirupati Rural, currently owned by APTA, for 10.32 acres in Survey No. 588-A of Tirupati Urban, owned by Board had requested the state government to expedite this exchange process.
