Louis Vuitton and Takashi Murakami rekindle their magic with a cherry-studded collection

The Louis Vuitton x Takashi Murakami's collaboration is one of the most iconic marriage of fashion and art in history. Two decades after Takashi Murakami first reimagined the iconic monogram with his rainbow-infused, pop-art flair, the collaboration remains as irresistible as ever. Marking 20 years since their groundbreaking 2003 debut, the third anniversary drop has arrived—and it's a deliciously cherry-studded affair, starring house ambassador and muse Zendaya. Dubbed Chapter Three, the latest capsule revives one of Murakami's most playful motifs: the grinning, candy-hued cherries. Following this year's rainbow monogram and sakura revivals, the collection breathes new life into the maison's classics – Speedy, Alma, and Side Trunk, now reworked in glossy white Monogram canvas with 3D-printed cherry embellishments. For collectors, the Capucines range is the real treasure, hiding metallic cherry charms and subtle icons in zips and fastenings, details only the most eagle-eyed fans will spot. A denim capsule, featuring embroidered cherries on the Pochette Accessoires and Keepall 45, adds a playful twist, while whimsical extras like a fan and foldable deck chair lean into Murakami's signature irreverence. Accessories dial up the fun: raffia mules with cherry-shaped heels, embroidered sneakers, and silk scarves that double as wearable art complete the fantasy. It's a masterclass in high fashion meets high-spirited nostalgia. After a pre-launch online on today May 16, the collection lands in stores on May 22. Discover the Louis Vuitton x Takashi Murakami Chapter Three collection here: This cherry-studded drop follows Murakami's earlier 2024 revivals – February's vibrant rainbow monogram comeback and April's dreamy sakura reissue – proving the designer-artist duo still knows how to make collectors swoon. Each iteration builds on their 20-year alchemy of subverting luxury codes with Murakami's irreverent pop-art flair, transforming LV's heritage pieces into wearable joy. – For more on luxury lifestyle, news, fashion and beauty follow Emirates Woman on Facebook and Instagram Images & Feature Image: Instagram and X
