British YouTubers Sidemen's fried chicken chain Sides opening in Singapore on Jun 5
British YouTube collective Sidemen will be opening their fried chicken chain Sides in Singapore at Bugis+ Mall on Thursday (Jun 5) at 10am, making this its first international branch. Sidemen consists of seven members, including influencer-boxer-musician Olajide Olayinka Williams Olatunji, also known as KSI; as well as YouTube personalities Harry Lewis, Simon Minter, Joshua Bradley, Vikram Barn, Ethan Payne and Tobi Brown. Lewis took to the Sides Singapore TikTok and Instagram on Tuesday to announce their Thursday opening, even attempting to say "Don't say we bojio ah" in the clip. He added: 'Our Singapore store is almost ready. There'll be food, merch, special guests, the whole lot.' The members create videos ranging from video game content to challenges and sketches. Since then, an Instagram account for the Singapore outlet has been created. The fried chicken chain is also known for offering nine different types of sauces, including a Nashville Cheese sauce, Chocolate Barbecue and a Secret Sauce. Apart from Sides, the group also started their merchandise line, Sidemen Clothing, in 2014; an alcoholic beverage line, XIX Vodka, in 2022; and a cereal brand, Best Cereal, in 2024.

First dibs: SIDES, founded by KSI & other UK YouTubers, brings its fried chicken to Bugis+
SIDES is a UK fast food joint with 5 outlets located in places like Essex, Manchester, and Wembley. If you've been to England and were obsessed with their crispy fried chicken, brace yourselves! They'll be opening their first international branch, SIDES Singapore on at + on 5 Jun 2025. SIDES was founded by popular YouTuber and boxer KSI and 6 other friends, also known as Sidemen, who have over a whopping 22 million subscribers! To be completely honest, I don't know who most of them are — though I do recall KSI making an appearance as a guest judge on Britain's Got Talent. The fast food chain is known for its spicy, hot fried chicken, tantalising sides, unique sauces and milkshakes. We got a sneak peek of SIDES SINGAPORE, conveniently located right next to Paco FunWorld on Level 3. The restaurant has a clean futuristic-industrial look with booth seats, white tiles and bluish neon lights. We started off with the Classic Burger (S$12.50) and Ultimate Nashville Burger (S$12.90). They were huge by the way… think Carl's Jr-sized! There was no way I could fit any of the burgers into my mouth without giving them a slight squish first. The Classic Burger has a thick slab of Nashville fried chicken, topped with sliced pickles, tomatoes, and slathered with secret sauce. The meat is doubled dipped and double coated, which explains the extra crispiness. That said, if you're not a fan of breast meat, it can start to feel a bit too much and a little in-your-face after a while. The secret sauce is intriguing and has a multi-layered flavour. It reminded me of a mixture or tartar and Thousand Island — tangy and sharp. For the Ultimate Nashville Burger, you'll be able to choose the heat level — from 0 to 3! Like the Classic, it also has a thick chunk of golden-fried chicken breast, complemented by coleslaw and sliced tomatoes. We selected Level 1 (Nashville Mild) which just had a light tinge of spice. Taste-wise, this was our favourite. If chicken tenders are your jam, the Nashville Tender is a must-try! You can get the 4 Piece Tenders Meal with Waffle Fries (S$16.50), that also comes with 2 sauces and a drink. The tenders are delightfully crunchy on the outside, while managing to stay moist and tender on the inside. We chose the HOTTEST option — Level 3 (Nashville Hot). The heat was a slow burn, hiding its fiery heat even after the first mouthful. However, after subsequent bites, the spiciness builds and was relentless. I didn't feel the need to reach for a cold glass of milk, so it really wasn't that intense! There are also sides like Corn Ribs (S$4), Chilli Poppers (S$4), and Mac & Cheese (S$4). The best part about my visit to SIDES Singapore was taste testing all 9 of its sauces. Though each of them had its unique identity, the ones that stood out to me were the Buttermilk Ranch, Nashville Cheese, Garlic Mayo and Chocolate Barbeque. My least favourite was the X|X Buffalo, which had notes of red Tabasco sauce that didn't resonate with me. Don't forget to try the milkshakes to wash it all down like the Vanilla Marshmallow, Salted Caramel and Chocolate Brownie (S$9.90 each). Head over to Bugis+ for a taste of Britain's fast food royalty. Brave the queues during peak hype or wait till things calm down — the choice is yours! BGT makes major change for semi-final as star returns to judge
Britain's Got Talent (BGT) has announced a major change for the last live semi-final with a surprise return. The ITV show confirmed that KSI will return to the judge, marking his live show debut as he joins the four fellow judges. The Sidemen star and co-founder of PRIME Hydration was a guest judge during the auditions when he stepped in for Bruno Tonioli. Now, KSI will return to the judging panel alongside Bruno, Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden and Alesha Dixon. Confirming his return, the internet star took to Instagram to announce the news, sharing: 'Ladies and gentlemen. 'I'm back, baby, I'm coming back to BGT.' For his return, KSI and fellow judges will be given their thoughts on eight acts performing, including Binita Chetry, Jerry Pop, Han and Fran and Manho Han. The eight acts will be hoping to claim the last two spots at the final, and to be in with achance of winning £250,000 and a spot on the Royal Variety Performance. According to Celebrity Net Worth, KSI's net worth is $100 million, which is less than £80 million. He has three solo YouTube channels and is a part of the YouTube group the Sidemen, which has four channels, altogether amounting to millions of subscribers and views. Sidemen YouTube collective launches venture capital firm
The Sidemen, Europe's largest YouTube collective with more than 150 million followers and 50 billion views across all its social media channels, has co-founded Upside, a venture capital firm backing consumer tech start-ups. The group formed in 2013 and is best known for producing hugely popular videos of its members taking part in challenges, sketches and video games commentaries. Those members have now invested some of their own money in a firm called Upside VC, which has made 12 investments of between £100,000 and £500,000 in companies including Howbout, a social calendar app to share schedules with friends; Mile, a membership app offering deals on luxury products and services; and Nimbi, which makes plastic-free razors. KSI spotted in Abergavenny by stunned locals after wedding
Olajide Olayinka Williams Olatunji or as he's better known by his followers 'KSI' was in the Abergavenny area this week. The celeb was in town for the wedding of a Mr and Mrs Richards held at Sant Ffraed House. His presence was kept under wraps however it was later revealed the You Tuber was in town for the bank holiday. Online reaction to the celeb's flying visit has been strong. Blaenavon Garden Services posted on Facebook: 'Guess who popped by Sant Ffraed House yesterday?! 'Huge shoutout to KSI for visiting the beautiful venue where we proudly maintain the gardens. 'Our very own Tom, our youngest subcontractor, even managed to snag a quick photo! What a legend!' Nicky the Bricky said: 'That's class.' Nikki Hoey said: 'Although exciting to see him locally, maybe asking for pics wouldn't be very fair to the newlyweds.
