Primary Care Alberta is bringing mobile mammography clinics to Siksika Nation residents for two days in September.
On Sept. 8 and 9, eligible individuals between the ages of 45 and 74 can get screened in a mobile mammography trailer at the Siksika Wellness Centre parking lot.
'Screening mammograms are the best way to find breast cancer early when treatment may work better,' Primary Care Alberta said in a release issued Monday.
'Getting screened for breast cancer saves lives.'
There's no cost for eligible individuals but Primary Care Alberta says an appointment is needed to be seen.
Appointments can be made by calling 1-800-667-0604. Transportation can be arranged by calling 403-734-5664.
