WR Simi Fehoko salary, contract details, cap hit with Arizona Cardinals
WR Simi Fehoko salary, contract details, cap hit with Arizona Cardinals Howard Balzer breaks down the details of the one-year deal WR Simi Fehoko signed with the Cardinals. The addition of former Los Angels Chargers receiver Simi Fehoko to the Arizona Cardinals came with a relatively low contract commitment. The total value of Fehoko's 1-year contract is $1.75 million with $1.25 million guaranteed. The latter includes a $250,000 signing bonus and $1 million of his $1.17 million base salary is also guaranteed. The $1.17 million figure is the league minimum for players with four credited seasons. The contract also includes a $15,000 per-game roster bonus with a max total of $255,000 and a $75,000 workout bonus. His salary cap charge of $1.615 million is less than the total value of the contract because he was active for only eight games in 2024, so what counts against the cap from the scheduled per-game roster bonuses is $120,000 for eight games. If he is with the Cardinals during the season, any games active over nine would count against the cap in 2026. For the 11 signed players with published contract details (Fehoko, Jacoby Brissett, Dalvin Tomlinson, Josh Sweat, Baron Browning, Mykal Walker, L.J. Collier, Evan Brown, Akeem Davis-Gaither, Joey Blount and Aaron Brewer) plus the 1-year restricted free-agent tender for Greg Dortch, the total cap hit this year is $45.767 million. We are still waiting on official figures for addition Jake Curhan along with re-signed players Kelvin Beachum and Zay Jones. Arizona Cardinals sign former Cowboys, Chargers WR Simi Fehoko
The Arizona Cardinals have added a wide receiver to their roster. The team announced Friday that former Los Angeles Chargers receiver Simi Fehoko was signed to a one-year contract. Fehoko has some physical traits the Cardinals will like. He is 6-foot-4 and 218 pounds with speed. His 40 time entering the NFL draft in 2021 was 4.44 seconds. He was drafted in the fifth round in 2021 by the Dallas Cowboys, where he played two seasons before spending two years with the Chargers. Through four seasons, he has not played more than eight games and that was last season. He started twice in 2024. He had six receptions for 106 yards, an average of 17.7 yards per catch. He played a career-high 244 offensive snaps last season after logging a total of 67 in his three previous seasons. He figures to compete for a spot on the roster and potentially a place in the playing rotation. His size and speed potentially give the Cardinals another deep threat. His contract is not likely for much, as he has not yet proven much in the league, but there is some potential for some upside. He will be a guy to watch as the offseason progresses and when training camp begins.
