Victoria Beckham continues to rake in thousands from Spice Girls royalties as staggering sum is revealed
Victoria Beckham hasn't sung with the Spice Girls since 2012, but her royalties continue to roll in. The fashion designer, 51, still makes thousands from her royalties in the band despite not singing a note for years. Spice Girls Ltd made a £93,000 profit last year, according to newly filed documents. With Posh Spice owning a fifth of the business, her share comes in at £18,600 – enough to top up her cellar with a few bottles of David's favourite 1961 Chateau Petrus, costing £3,000 per bottle. Victoria made a whopping £1million from her music in the last year alone, despite not singing or touring since 2012. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the Daily Mail's new Showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. Companies House documents which cover the period ending March 2024 show that the former pop star now has £2.4million in her firm Moody Productions, which she set up back in 1997 to look after the cash she makes from music. According to The Sun, paperwork said the earnings are for the 'recoupment of music recording and publishing royalties and endorsement activities'. Solo, Victoria has 19,900 monthly listeners on Spotify, while The Spice Girls have a whopping 12.6 million fans who are regularly streaming their music. The last time the star performed with the Spice Girls was during the 2012 London Olympics closing ceremony. Spice Girls' former manager Simon Fuller has reportedly 'revealed his huge plans for the girl group's reunion' - but there's a twist. The Pop Idol creator, 65, is said to be hoping to mark the 30th anniversary of their debut hit Wannabe. It has already been said that Victoria is '90 per cent out of the running', but he now appears to have found a way around it. Simon's new idea could see the band reunite on stage as avatars, just like ABBA have with their smash hit hologram show. A source told The Sun: 'He was the person who came up with the original idea for Abba and their digital show and he thinks this model could work perfectly for the group.' They continued: 'Even Victoria said she would be behind it if all of them had agreed. She wouldn't stop it. 'Simon knows this plan would mean the band would be making money in their sleep and it would open up their music to a whole new generation.' In 2016, Simon persuaded super-group ABBA to reunite to explore working in virtual reality, which led to the ABBA Voyage project which has been pulling in fans for three years at a purpose-built East London arena. MailOnline contacted Simon's representative for comment. Victoria and her husband David fell out with him about seven years ago and bought themselves out of their contracts with the mogul's XIX Entertainment agency. The couple paid around £38 million for Simon's 33 per cent stake in the former England footballer's businesses, which gave David and Victoria full control of Beckham Brand Holdings, which includes a stake in US-based football club Inter Miami. Last week, Mel C broke her silence on the upcoming Spice Girls reunion tour, revealing that one member still 'needs more convincing' to take to the stage. But in a new interview, she shared her excitement about the tour and let slip that one other member seemingly wasn't as enthusiastic about picking up the mic again and needed further persuasion. Speaking on the No Filter with Kate Langbroek podcast, Sporty Spice shared: 'Next year is a big year for us and we have to acknowledge it in some way. 'So we are talking about what that's going to look like and for me, Melanie, I know for sure, and Emma [Bunton], we'd be back on stage. But sometimes other people need a little bit more convincing.' Amid her revelation that it was Geri Halliwell-Horner that needed convincing, this further adds to recent reports that Ginger Spice is set to meet with Spice Girls manager Simon in Miami to discuss the plans. The singer, 52, recently remained coy about a possible reunion, saying in an interview last month: 'I love the Spice Girls as a whole movement, the tribe of us, and the individual members.' Since they officially broke up they there have been various rumours that they would reunite - with Mel B recently sharing her enthusiasm again for another tour. Mel C previously hinted that the band could do something special next year to mark the 30-year anniversary of their debut album, Spice. The girl group last toured together in 2020 as a foursome, with only Victoria missing the last time Emma, Mel B, Mel C, Victoria and Geri all performed as a five was during the opening ceremony of the London 2012 Olympics.

The singer, 52, recently remained coy about a possible reunion, saying in an interview last month: 'I love the Spice Girls as a whole movement, the tribe of us, and the individual members.' It was thought that the scandal scandal engulfing her husband Christian Horner, who accused of misconduct by a team employee, put Geri off taking part. But with Geri's Red Bull F1 boss Christian gearing up for the latest race in the calendar and with Simon reportedly a racing fan with an invite from Red Bull to attend, it would be the perfect opportunity for the two to chat. Meanwhile, discussing the prospect of all five girls being on stage together for the first time since 2012, Mel added: 'It would be the best thing ever, ever, ever. And sometimes it feels like a duty to the world. 'When we did the shows in 2019, it brought so much joy to so many people. Not everybody likes the Spice Girls but loads of people do. 'We're living in this weird world right now. There's so much negativity and mad s**t going on. Let's all spice up our lives.' Meanwhile, Mel B joked that any important details regarding the tour won't be shared with Mel B as 'she can't keep her mouth shut.' Major new Spice Girls project planned with boss Simon Fuller inspired by groundbreaking hit – but will Posh be involved?
THE Spice Girls' former manager is in talks for them to reunite as avatars just like ABBA. Insiders said had pitched the idea to — as he did with Simon Fuller has pitched the idea to the band — as he did with the Swedish pop superstars, insiders say. 5 5 5 It would see holograms of Geri Halliwell-Horner, Mels B and C, Emma Bunton and Victoria Beckham playing their biggest hits. Victoria, who was not part of their 2019 tour, was said to have suggested she would agree if the others did. A source added: 'Simon is desperate to have one last hurrah with the Spice Girls and this is his latest idea. He was the person who came up with the original idea for Abba and their digital show and he thinks this model could work perfectly for the group. 'Touring again looks unlikely — someone like Victoria for example is never going to be a 'working member' of the Spice Girls — so this seems like the best option. 'Simon pitched the idea to the group and they seemed receptive. 'Even Victoria said she would be behind it if all of them had agreed. She wouldn't stop it. 'Simon knows this plan would mean the band would be making money in their sleep and it would open up their music to a whole new generation. 'It's a really exciting concept and he thinks he could make it work.' It comes nine years since Simon pitched the idea to ABBA, who eventually went elsewhere with a more futuristic idea. Their avatar show in East London has proved a massive success and is now in its third year. Victoria has previously said she approved of the plan. Mel B drops biggest clue yet that Spice Girls are reuniting with cryptic comment on Instagram Asked on US TV in 2022 what she thought of a virtual residency for the band she replied: 'That is a great idea.' The Sun told last month how Geri secretly met Simon in Miami to discuss plans to reunite in 2026 — 30 years since debut hit Wannabe. Mel C also hinted at a reunion, saying earlier this year: 'We have to do something special. Obviously, I can't say too much but we are talking about things. Hopefully a nice little world tour!' 5

Array of events to mark Year of the Horse: HKJC CEO
Array of events to mark Year of the Horse: HKJC CEO The Hong Kong Jockey Club wants to further boost its entertainment capability to draw tourists. File photo: RTHK The Hong Kong Jockey Club (HKJC) said it is looking to further up the international ante by not only consolidating its world-class racing status, but also boosting its entertainment capacity to make Hong Kong one of Asia's most vibrant destinations. He added that an exciting lineup of events are in the pipeline to mark the Year of the Horse next year. Earlier this month, the HKJC announced a massive partnership initiative with entertainment brand XIX Entertainment. Its founder, Simon Fuller, is the man behind pop group Spice Girls, and popular show American Idol. The Jockey Club's Chief Executive Officer, Winfried Engelbrecht-Bresges, told RTHK's Backchat programme on Thursday that the move is essential in helping the Club boost its entertainment capability. "We think we're perfect when it comes to horse-racing and sport, but when you venture into the entertainment field, you have to have a partner who has the same global expertise and vision we have, and this is Simon Fuller, when you look at his CV and XIX Entertainment," he said. "And he [Simon Fuller] loves Hong Kong - he's one of the biggest advocates of Hong Kong." Engelbrecht-Bresges said the HKJC is looking to strengthen its status as an internationally-recognised sports and entertainment body by, for example, partnering with other global horse racing brands like Royal Ascot and Breeders Cup. "We see next year's unique opportunity with the Year of the Horse... and we want to use this as a real platform for a global brand campaign - how we position Hong Kong, how we create more entertainment-based sport events in Hong Kong around horse racing and equestrian,' he added.

American Idol creator Simon Fuller launches search for Hong Kong's next pop star
American Idol creator Simon Fuller will search across the city for the next big star with a 'Hong Kong spirit' to join his international pop group, which will also perform at the horse races through a collaboration with the Hong Kong Jockey Club. British entrepreneur and talent manager Fuller also expressed confidence that music could transcend geopolitical boundaries, despite worsening global tensions amid the US-China trade war. Together with the club, which aims to transform itself into a global sports entertainment brand, Fuller on Monday announced a citywide talent search to shine on the international stage with the pop group Now United, which is managed by his label XIX Entertainment. 'Hong Kong opened my eyes to Asia, this is a magnificent city with deep cultural roots,' Fuller told the Post in an exclusive interview. 'If you introduce entertainment with sport, it brings more audience and makes it more aspirational and contemporary, attracting more females and younger people.' The performer should represent the 'optimism and aspirational values' he sees in Hong Kong as a world-class city, according to Fuller.
