Dayton Silent Disco to celebrate 50th event, 4th anniversary

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – The Dayton Silent Disco is getting ready to hit a milestone later this month, while also starting a new residency. Besides marking the dance party's 4th anniversary, the event at Brightside Music and Events Venue on Friday, April 18, will also be its 50th. The silent disco works by having three live deejays broadcasting different genres of music — Pop, Retro, EDM — to a special pair of headphones that attendees are provided with on arrival. Attendees are welcome to switch between all three channels throughout the night. 'This will be our 50th event hosted in 48 months as 'Dayton Silent Disco' and we couldn't be more grateful for the opportunity to keep the party going,' said Dayton Silent Disco producer Brian Johnson. 'Our community and fans are some of the best supporters any artist could ever ask for. The disco is beginning a residency at Brightside and leaving Yellow Cab Tavern. Who did music lovers listen to the most in 2024? 'In our 4th year, our plan is to keep growing our events with even cooler themes, like glow parties, and in newer and bigger spaces, like The Brightside and The Dayton Arcade.'
