Office of Reentry to host reverse job fair for graduates

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — The Montgomery County Office of Reentry is organizing a reverse job fair for returning citizens.
The fair will see 27 graduates from the Office of Reentry's Reentry Career Alliance Academy (RCAA) showcase their skills and experiences in hopes of netting employment.
Interested attendees should visit the Montgomery County Job Center on Wednesday, March 26 from 9 a.m. to noon.
Dayton Arcade to host Sinclair Writers' Workshop
The event is exclusively for these select graduates and they will each receive a booth to campaign from.
Commissioner Carolyn Rice and Office of Reentry Program Manager, Quinn Howard, will each be in attendance.

SPRINGFIELD, Ohio (WDTN) — The Summer Arts Festival is returning to Springfield this weekend. The 59th annual Summer Arts Festival begins Thursday, June 12 and will run through July 12. Attendees can visit the Veterans Park Amphitheater in Springfield for a variety of events and entertainment. LIST: Pride Month events in the Miami Valley Attendees can expect a celebration of music, theater, dance and community spirit. Lawn chairs and blankets are encouraged to enjoy the outdoor entertainment. Various food trucks and concession stands will be available. Attendees can also donate to help support local performing arts. The event and all shows are free of charge. Various themes and live entertainment are planned throughout the summer. Previous coverage on Maria Stein. DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – The 15th Annual Maria Stein Shrine's Art Show is coming up soon. The event will be held at the Maria Stein Shrine of the Holy Relics on 2291 St. John's Rd. It will start on Tuesday, June 17 and run through Monday, June 30. The gallery will be in the Upper Room (on the third floor). 'A big loss': Church steeple, roof collapse in massive Maria Stein fire There will be a fine selection of art on display, some of which will be for sale. Attendees can cast a vote for their favorite piece, which will receive the People's Choice Award. There will be art in three categories. Painting: which is oils, acrylics, water media and watercolors. Drawing: which is graphite, charcoal, colored pencil, pastels and pen/ink. Three-dimensional: which is glass works, ceramics and sculptures. The Maria Stein community was recently rocked by a devastating fire at the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. The 135-year-old church is a staple in the tight-knit community of 1,000 people. To learn more about the salvage efforts, click here. The university announced that Jazz Jam on the Yard is returning to the campus on June 26 from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. The event will be hosted by Central State University's Counseling Services, Residence Life, Extension, and Family and Consumer Science. 'This event supports CSU's commitment to fostering a culture of care and collaboration across campus and the surrounding community,' the university says.
