Sunshine Coast woman's jaw ‘cracked' by power bank in alleged road-rage attack
WARNING: Graphic images A Sunshine Coast woman needed stitches after an alleged road-rage attack left her with a cut and bleeding jaw. Aleisha Balfoort was on her way home from the Fishermans Road Sunday Market in Maroochydore when she said a black Nissan Navara began tailgating her car. In a Facebook post to the Sunshine Coast Community board page, the 31-year-old said that there were 'two young, cracked out looking girls' in the vehicle. When the car pulled out beside her in the second lane of the Sunshine Coast Motorway, Ms Balfoort said both women began yelling at her. 'So silly me I wound my window down so I could hear what she was saying as I was already going to make a report on this car and it's (sic) driving, and bam … a power bank came flying through my window and cracked me in the jaw,' she wrote, alongside images of her bleeding face and the car in question. '(I am) currently at hospital getting stitches … I hope you're so proud of yourself and your road rage, (that) all stemmed from tailgating me and carrying on like pork chops for doing the speed limit.' has contacted Ms Balfoort for comment. A Queensland Police spokesperson confirmed they had launched an investigation into the reported assault on July 6 at Sippy Downs. 'Around 9am, police received reports a woman driving a Black Nissan Navara allegedly threw multiple items at another vehicle being driven by a 31-year-old Palmview woman along the Sunshine Coast Motorway,' the spokesperson said. 'Information received alleged an item was thrown through the victim's open window, hitting her in the face, causing minor injuries. Investigations into the incident are continuing and anyone with information is urged to contact police.' Ms Balfoort was met with an outpouring of support from the Sunshine Coast community on Facebook, including an offer from More Clinic Co's Sinead Bright for complimentary LED light therapy to help the injured skin heal. Responding to Ms Bright's comment, Ms Balfoort called her an 'ACTUAL ANGEL'. 'I honestly haven't stopped crying all day, between now and never wanting to go outside or drive again and how my face is going to look,' she wrote. 'I feel bad as I know it's superficial, but I went through so much trauma from acne and scarring from my pregnancies, doing the most to never be seen in person for such long periods of my life, that I've spent years and countless dollars to try and reverse and regaining my confidence, only to have it so easily and quickly taken away.'

Teens charged after fire extinguisher allegedly sprayed into car with baby inside
Two teenage boys have been charged after allegedly spraying a fire extinguisher into a car injuring a father and his five-month-old baby. Police allege two boys riding an e-bike discharged a fire extinguisher into the open rear window of a Silver Suzuki Vitara at a set of traffic lights in Sippy Downs, Queensland on the evening of June 15. The car was being driven by a 29-year-old father Leon, with his baby girl Pixie sitting in the back seat. Both were taken to hospital where they were treated for minor injuries. Leon's partner, Tiffani Teasdale, told 9News the car filled with smoke leaving Leon unable to see or breathe. 'He yelled out to them 'I've got a baby in the car, I've got a baby in the car',' she said. After the incident, Pixie was rushed to hospital, where nurses flushed the chemicals from her eyes. Ms Teasdale said she heard her daughter scream and saw her with bloodshot eyes and covered with red rashes. Police allege the fire extinguisher used in the incident was stolen earlier that evening from a car park on Courage Street, Sippy Downs. A 15-year-old Buderim boy has been charged with 13 offences including three counts of wilful damage and two counts of assault occasioning bodily harm. A 14-year-old Buderim boy has been charged with six offences including two counts of wilful damage and two counts of assault occasioning bodily harm. Both teenagers will be dealt with under the provisions of the Youth Justice Act. The incident prompted a public appeal, and police have thanked the Sunshine Coast community for their assistance.

E-bike riders charged over Sunshine Coast fire extinguisher incident
Two teenagers have been charged over an incident that left a baby in hospital when a fire extinguisher was allegedly sprayed through a car window on the Sunshine Coast. Police have charged the boys from Buderim, aged 14 and 15, with a long list of offences, including wilful damage and assault occasioning bodily harm. The pair who were riding an e-bike are accused of letting off a fire extinguisher into the open back window of Tiffani Teasdale's car while she was stopped at traffic lights at Sippy Downs last weekend. Her five-month-old daughter, Pixie, was in the back seat and had to have her eyes cleaned by doctors with saline solution. The residue left a thick film blanketing the car's interior, destroying the baby's pram, toys and nappy bag. Police allege the fire extinguisher was stolen from a nearby car park earlier that night. Earlier this week, investigators released security footage of the duo and launched a public appeal to identify them. The boys will be dealt with under the Youth Justice Act and will not be required to appear in the Queensland Children's Court.

Police release footage in hunt for pair who sprayed baby with fire extinguisher
Police have released footage of a pair suspected of spraying a fire extinguisher into a car in an incident that injured a five-month-old baby. The incident happened on the night of June 15 at Sippy Downs on the Sunshine Coast. Two people on a e-bike pulled up next to a car at traffic lights and sprayed the extinguisher through a window. On Thursday, Queensland Police released footage of the pair, riding in tandem on an e-scooter. The mother of baby Pixie, Tiffani Teasdale, earlier told the ABC about the terrifying incident. 'The car just filled up with gas and white powder straight away,' she said. '(Pixie) was completely covered in white powder and just looked like she was in shock, she wasn't even crying.' Pixie was in the car with Mr Teasedale's partner. Pixie's eyes had to be flushed out in hospital. 'I've never heard her scream like that before, I actually had to leave the room. 'The doctors had to hold her down for me because it was the most horrible thing I've ever heard … no one should have to go through that.' 'Obviously, it was a very traumatic experience for both of us, especially him as he was there but we are both doing OK,' Ms Teasedale said. '(Pixie's) as happy as ever, she is not showing any signs of breathing issues, her skin is a little bit irritated … but other than that she is doing really well. 'Fingers crossed we find them.' Police want information from anyone who was in the area of High St, near Sippy Downs Drive, between 7.30pm and 8.20pm on Sunday to come forward. The fire extinguisher was taken from a nearby car park earlier on the night.

Chilling video shows teenage e-bike riders speeding off after a baby was attacked in a prank gone wrong
Video uploaded to social media shows two males on an e-bike speeding down a road moments after a baby girl was sprayed with a fire extinguisher. Mother Tiffani Teasdale said her five-month-old baby, Pixie, was in the car with her father on High Street in Sippy Downs, on Queensland 's Sunshine Coast, when they stopped at a traffic light about 7.45pm on Sunday. As they waited, two e-bike-riding teenagers pulled up next to their car, stuck a fire extinguisher through its rear window and set it off before quickly riding away. Pixie was rushed to hospital where she had to have 100ml of saline solution put in her eyes to clean off the chemical powder. 'It was the most horrible scream I've ever heard in my life,' Ms Teasdale told Nine News on Tuesday. 'I actually had to leave and one of the nurses had to come in and hold her down for me.' 'She was covered in red rashes. Her eyes were pretty bloodshot. She was a little bit wheezy.' Pixie was discharged from hospital early Monday morning with her mother urged to continue monitoring her symptoms. The fire extinguisher left a thick coat of chemical powder over the car's interior and destroyed Pixie's pram, toys and nappy bag. Footage shared to social media, which appeared to be shot from the balcony of a unit, showed two figures speeding along a Sunshine Coast street on Sunday night. One appears to be facing forward steering the e-bike while the second is letting off a thick trail of gas behind them, which appears to be from a fire extinguisher. A local car detailing business, Grime Busters, has since offered to clean the damage for free. 'It's disgusting, to be honest. You never know who's going to be in a car,' Ms Teasdale said. 'It could have been someone with respiratory issues. It could have been a newborn baby. It could have been an elderly person.' The mother gave a serious message to the two alleged offenders: 'Just grow up.' 'Take accountability for your actions. Hand yourself in. Stop terrorising the neighborhood,' she said. Queensland Police said it is investigating the alleged assault. Officers have made an appeal to people in the area between 7.30pm and 8.20pm whom may have relevant information, CCTV or dashcam vision to contact police.
