Here are the finalists for MnDOT's 'Name a Snowplow' 2025 contest
The Minnesota Department of Transportation has released the 50 finalists of its now-annual "Name a Snowplow" contest, even if snow has been mostly missing this winter.
The public can now vote on their favorites between now and Friday, Feb. 7, with the eight most popular suggestions being announced in February.
Winning names will then be added to eight plows operating in each individual MnDOT district over the next year.
More than 7,300 submissions were put forward, with MnDOT said it "considered a variety of factors, including uniqueness, frequency of submissions, Minnesota-specific ideas, and names that would be easily identifiable and understandable to most audiences."
Don't let it influence you in any way, but we're fans of Snowtorious B.I.G., 867-530 Brine, and I Came, I Thaw, I Conquered.
