Large part of A14 shut due to overrunning work
Part of the A14 remains closed this morning.
The road is closed in the westbound direction between junction 39 for Kentford and junction 36 on the A11 for Six Mile Bottom.
A spokesman for National Highways has said that the closure is due to planned roadworks "overruning their pre-agreed end time."
He added: "Our service providers continue to work at the scene to re-open the road as soon as it is safe to do so.
"A signed diversion route remains in place."
It is currently unknown when the road might reopen.
Traffic is starting to build along the A1304 in Newmarket, which is on the diversion route.
