An exhibition showcasing contemporary art on the Isle of Man is set to close on Sunday. Six Ways of Seeing, which features work from Petrina Kent, Sally Black, Ongky Wijana, Ella Magee, Ellie Baker and Helen Faragher, is on at the House of Manannan in Peel from 09:30 until 16:30 BST. With more than 100 pieces on display, the work includes landscape paintings, stone carvings, ceramics as well as ink Sally Black said the display had "encouraged people to think about their creativity and the way they see the world around them". Ms Black brought the artists together for the exhibition after being approached by Manx National Heritage. "I have great admiration for the other artists and felt it was a great way of seeing all our work together," she exhibition was called Six Ways of Seeing, because "while we all are creative people, we all see things very differently", so the display showcased "how things can be expressed in a variety of ways", Ms Black who had attended had commented on "how wonderful it is to see several artists together who have different visions of the world around them", Ms Black said. A highlight had been seeing people get "such a lot" out of the exhibition, a visit from the Lieutenant Governor Sir John Lorimer and Lady Phillippa Lorimer and having people ask questions about the art, she added.
