Sixers' Paul George has advice for Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards

Sixers' Paul George has advice for Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards The game of basketball is all about progression and development. In order to be a star in this league, one has to keep growing and take steps forward in his game to be at that next level. That is the challenge for Minnesota Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards. After a blowout loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder in Game 5 of the Western Conference finals, Edwards and the Wolves are in the same position they were in 2024 when they were blown out in Game 5 by the Dallas Mavericks. Edwards had some big moments against the Thunder--most notably the Game 3 win--but his scoring average of 23.0 points in the series combined with his 28.2% 3-point percentage left a lot to be desired. Philadelphia 76ers star Paul George offered up some advice to Edwards as he continues with his career. On the latest episode of "Podcast P with Paul George": I think Ant's gotta get better at he's gotta develop a post game. Where he can let the game slow down, where he can get to one dribble and raise up and shoot, and I think that helps a player get into a rhythm a lot better, where he starts closer and he doesn't have to worry about bringing two defenders to the ball to try to get free, get to an elbow, get to the mid post, where you can see the whole floor, and play from there. So I think that's the next evolution for Ant. Edwards is only 23 years old. One has to believe that he is going to continue taking these steps forward as a superstar and develop into one of the best players the league has seen. As for George and the Sixers, they will be looking to get healthy and capitalize on the talent they possess after a miserable 2024-25 season.

Sixers' Paul George makes bold claim about Pacers' Tyrese Haliburton

Sixers' Paul George makes bold claim about Pacers' Tyrese Haliburton The NBA is currently in a transition phase. The league is looking for its new face as the era of LeBron James, Stephen Curry, and Kevin Durant is about to end with all three legendary players nearing retirement. Without those three, the league will need to appoint a new face of the league. There are plenty of fantastic options to choose from. There's Jalen Brunson up in New York, MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander out in Oklahoma City, Nikola Jokic in Denver, and even Joel Embiid in Philadelphia. However, Sixers star Paul George has a name that not a lot of people are considering: Indiana Pacers star Tyrese Haliburton. On an episode of "Podcast P with Paul George": In my eyes, I think he is a superstar. He's the face of the NBA. He is the number one option. He's a set-up point first, but he can be your late-game scorer. He's been a clutch performer late in games. He can be an isolation player--that's just not his calling. I want to see him continue to do this, which I know he will. Haliburton has the Pacers on the cusp of the NBA Finals as they currently lead the Knicks 3-2 in the Eastern Conference finals. As the series shifts back to Gainbridge Fieldhouse for Game 6 on Saturday, Haliburton will look to cement his case for being the new face of the NBA by guiding the Pacers to their first finals appearance since 2000.

Sixers' Jared McCain reacts to Tyrese Haliburton forcing OT vs. Knicks

Sixers' Jared McCain reacts to Tyrese Haliburton forcing OT vs. Knicks The Indiana Pacers invaded Madison Square Garden for Game 1 of the Eastern Conference finals on Wednesday night looking for the upper hand. The New York Knicks, making their first conference finals appearance since 2000, were looking to take advantage of the home court advantage. With the Knicks leading by 17 in the fourth quarter, it looked like it was over. Instead, All-Star Tyrese Haliburton and Aaron Nesmith led the Pacers on an incredible comeback in the final minutes to stun the Knicks 138-135 in overtime. Haliburton hit a shot that hit the back of the rim, floated in the air, and dropped in at the buzzer to force overtime and give the Pacers new life. Philadelphia 76ers guard Jared McCain was watching the game on livestream for Bleacher Report and his reaction to Haliburton forcing OT was priceless. The reaction McCain gave can be seen here at this link. The Sixers guard was shocked by Haliburton coming through with the shot and the Pacers were able to finish the job in overtime. Indiana now leads the Knicks 1-0 in the Eastern Conference finals with Game 2 coming on Friday.

Sixers' Paul George doubles down on high praise for Rutgers' Ace Bailey

Sixers' Paul George doubles down on high praise for Rutgers' Ace Bailey The Philadelphia 76ers will have plenty of options to turn to when the 2025 NBA draft rolls around on June 25. The lottery results granted them with the No. 3 overall pick which means they are guaranteed one of the top talents in what is expected to be a deep draft rich with talent. There will be plenty of options for President of Basketball Operations Daryl Morey and Co. to choose from. Top prospects such as Ace Bailey, VJ Edgecombe, Tre Johnson, and others will certainly draw a lot of attention with that selection. Sixers star Paul George has a lot of praise for Bailey, in particular, as he has given him a lot of love in the past. He doubled down on that praise on an episode of "Podcast P with Paul George": I think he has big-time potential. He has big-time talent. He can score from any spot on the floor. He has an isolation game, which you don't see that often in kids that size, that early. He can make plays. He can shoot over top of defenses. He can take advantage of mismatches. He can handle the ball in pick-and-rolls. He can catch-and-shoot. He can defend. I've seen him play elite defense, on chase down blocks, running guys off 3s, defending, keeping guys in front of I think he just has tremendous talent. If there was no Cooper Flagg, Ace Bailey would have been an even bigger name that people would have been talking about in this draft. I love his upside, man. I've been a fan of his game for a little while now. I think he's going to be huge in the league. He's definitely going to come to the league, and people think it might take him a minute based off of his skill set, but I think he's gonna come into the league and make noise right away. Bailey averaged 17.6 points, 7.2 rebounds, and 1.3 assists during his freshman season with the Scarlet Knights. He will now look to carry that type of production over to the NBA level and make an impact on any team that chooses him. If it's the Sixers, then he will have a lot of pressure placed upon him as he looks to make an impact on a team that still has championship hopes in 2025-26.

Sixers' Tyrese Maxey reacts to seeing his highlight video on Twitter

Sixers' Tyrese Maxey reacts to seeing his highlight video on Twitter Philadelphia 76ers star Tyrese Maxey is one of the more competitive players in the league. The All-Star guard loves the game of basketball and does whatever he can to put his team in the best position to succeed, regardless of who's on the floor with him. In his fifth season, Maxey averaged 26.3 points, 6.1 assists, and 3.3 rebounds while shooting 43.7% from the floor and 33.7% from deep. His shooting percentages were down, but that can be attributed to all of the attention he received from opposing defenses. He played a lot of games without Joel Embiid and Paul George on the floor so that made life difficult for Maxey. As he continues his offseason, Maxey came across a highlight video of his on Twitter. It was a stretch in the 2024-25 season when he put the Sixers on his back and did a lot of fantastic things on the floor. He gave his reaction to it as he is clearly missing playing basketball. Maxey and the Sixers will look to make the necessary improvements in the summer to come back stronger and bounce back from a miserable 2024-25 season.
