Streaming platform Netflix is set to axe a huge number of shows from its list including Batman Begins and Godzilla x Kong during the month of June amid a mass cull Netflix is set to cut a string of TV shows and films in the month of June for those in America. The films that are set to leave a number of film buffs devastated include Batman Begins, which was released in 2005, along with The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Rises. But the iconic franchises are not the only shows to face the mass cull by the streaming giant. So too are children's TV shows such as Alvinnn!!! And The Chipmunks and Ben & Holly's Little Kingdom. The shows to be cut on June 1 include 100 Days with Tata, which was released in 2021. This is followed by Batman Begins, Burlesque, Closer and Magic Mike XXL. Another string of shows on June 1 include Cult of Chucky, Den Thieves, Ted and Ted 2, and Two Weeks Notice. On June 11, Gran Turismo: Based on a True Story is being axed along with Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire on June 14 and Carol on June 17. From June 19 through to the 26, Father Figures, American Sniper, Brain on Fire and two seasons of Signs will also be removed from Netflix. But this is not the first time the streaming platform has axed a number of shows. Back in November 2023, fans were left gutted at the removal of Shadow and Bone, despite the second series of the TV show being one of Netflix's most watched list. In addition, Six of Crows was also pulled. Taking to X, one fan wrote: "Shadow and bone cancelled no one talk to me omg just ruined my week." Another said: "I just woke up and Shadow and Bone has been cancelled by Netflix… I don't know how to process this except to say that…WE WERE ROBBED THE HEIST!!!!!" Meanwhile a third person penned: "Gutted to hear that Shadow & Bone has been cancelled. I thought the show was fabulous." And Leigh Bardugo, who is the author of both series took to Instagram to vent her frustration. She said at the time: "Friends, by now you've probably heard that there will be no season three for Shadow and Bone and no Six of Crows spinoff. The news hit me hard. I'm heartbroken and deeply disappointed, but I'm also trying to hold onto my very real gratitude." She added: "Most authors never get to see their work adapted. Many who do end up regretting the experience. I'm one of the lucky few who can look at an adaptation with pride and tremendous joy. I am so grateful to our writers, our crew, and our extraordinary cast who are not just wildly talented, but genuinely good people." She went on to say: "Most of all I want to saw how grateful I am to the folks reading this – whether you found your way to the books first or discovered them through the show. " She continued: "The Grishaverse is a better place because of you and I am so thankful for every tweet, post, comment, review, artwork, fic, tattoo and cosplay that helped to make all of this possible. She concluded her post: "We're book people and that means we never stop imagining that magic can be made real. You are proof of that. Now, I'm going to go have a cry, and maybe a drink, and then see where the story takes us next."

'I looked at girlfriend's internet history and it changed our entire relationship'
A man shared how he was curious to see what was on his girlfriend's internet history, but when he took a look, it was more shocking than he could've imagined, and it changed their whole relationship. He shared on Reddit that there was a time he and his girlfriend were "going through a really rough patch" and they were "trying to fix things, but it wasn't easy". The mad admitted the time brought a lot of "uncertainty" and "silence," and they "both wanted to make it work," but there was "doubt" that "lingered". He wrote: "One day, we were on a bus and she didn't have her phone, but she wanted to show me a Tumblr post she had saved for me. So she logged into her Tumblr account on my phone and showed it to me. That was it. I didn't think much of it at the time." But later, when he got home, he noticed that she'd forgotten to log out, and was about to do it himself when curiosity got the better of him. He admitted that he noticed a "one" next to the drafts tab, and he "opened it". "I had no intentions beyond that, just curiosity," he said. "We both write from time to time, because we are into books and poetry and stuff," but what he saw next really shocked him. He said inside the draft, there were a few lines that "hurt" him and had him asking himself questions about whether she actually loved him. She wrote something along the lines of: "Oh, but how do I love you, when there is none of me left? My soul is shattered, and I do not know what to do with the remains." The man said: "I logged out of her account. I didn't say anything. But I couldn't shake the feeling. I tried, but it just kept hurting the whole day." Feeling heartbroken, but persisting with their relationship, he shared that the following day was a "special occasion" for the pair of them, saying that they usually write letters to each other, "filled with feelings". He wrote: "I gave her mine. She smiled softly and said she didn't write one this time. Instead, she handed me a book: Six of Crows. One of the two books we had exchanged back when we were just starting to fall for each other. It had emotional weight. She told me to open it once I got home. So I did. "There was a tiny piece of paper tucked into the front, asking me to turn to a specific page. Page 147. I flipped to it and found a passage she had underlined: 'Many boys will bring you flowers. But someday you'll meet a boy who will learn your favourite flower, your favourite song, your favourite sweet. And even if he is too poor to give you any of them, it won't matter because he will have taken the time to know you as no one else does. Only that boy earns your heart.' "And just after that, the character Inej thinks: 'I'm not sure I have a heart to give anymore, Papa.' But right there, next to that line, my girl, in her beautiful handwriting, had written: 'But when you do find the one, the shattered remains of it will stitch themselves back together and will only beat to his name'," he wrote. He admitted that he "sat there in silence, crying" after putting the book down to process what she'd written. "She never knew I read that draft, and I still haven't told her," he said. "But in that moment, I knew. She loved me. Entirely. In her own quiet, aching way. It's been a long time, but ever since then, our relationship has only grown stronger. I love her so much." In the comments, someone joked: "My husband looked me in the eyes, smiled, then proceeded to unclog the toilet for me, and that's how I knew he loved me in his own quiet, aching way. Congratulations on also finding true love". Another shared: "My friend realised she loved her boyfriend (now husband) when he was helping her dad install a solar panel on the roof of her house and she thought 'Oh I'd be really sad if he fell and got hurt' lmao". Another Redditor wrote: "This is so beautiful! I'm glad you have each other and I hope you continue to cultivate a wonderful and healthy relationship." While someone else said: "Well, that was a plot twist. A good one!"
