The Mill announces new acts coming to Terre Haute
TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV)— The Mill announced today two more musical acts coming to the Wabash Valley. The first band coming to rock the valley like a monster is Skillet. These heroes are coming to Terre Haute on July 12. According to Spotify, Skillet has boasted two Grammy nominations, a Billboard Music Award, three albums in the Top 5 of the Billboard 200, over 22 million units sold worldwide, 12 singles and four albums rated gold or higher by the RIAA, and 10,000,000 monthly listeners on Spotify with one of the most streamed rock songs of all time over their nearly three decades. Come and see Skillet and feel invincible when tickets go on sale to the general public on May 30. Next up, get all the boys out of the holler for Upchurch and the Dixielanders coming to Terre Haute on September 27. Tickets to see this group from the southern land also go on sale May 30. With 26 albums over an 11 year career and nearly 1.5 million monthly listeners on Spotify, Upchurch and his band the Dixielanders are sure to bring the hillbilly out of you. Theory of a dead man, Sawyer Brown performing at Nebraska State Fair outdoor concert series
GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (KCAU) — After announcing four performers for its indoor series, the Nebraska State Fair has also announced four outdoor concerts. The lineup includes Sawyer Brown, Skillet and Theory of a Deadman, the Forever Young Tour, and La Arrolladora Banda El Limón de René Camacho. All shows will take place at TD Landing as part of the fair's Nebraska Lottery Concert Series outdoor shows. 'The Nebraska Lottery Concert Series outside concerts will each be highly energetic,' said Nebraska State Fair Executive Director Jaime Parr. 'We have something to get everyone up and moving.' Sawyer Brown will be performing a free show on Thursday, August 28. The country rock band appeared on the television competition series Star Search and became a hit. Ever since the've released 18 studio albums and have charteed more than 50 times. They're known for the songs 'Step That Step,' 'Some Girls Do,' 'Thank God for You,' and 'The Race is On,' to name a few. Nebraska State Fair announces Righteous Brothers, Marshall Tucker Band as part of 4 indoor performances 'We want to thank all of our Nebraska State Fair fans by offering this show free with paid gate admission,' Parr said. 'We are so excited to have Sawyer Brown bring their country rock and roll to TD Landing.' Then on Friday, Aug. 29, rock bands Skillet and Theory of a Deadman will take the stage. Skillet, known for hits 'Awake and Alive,' 'Feel Invincible,' 'Rise,' and 'Monster,' has been nominated for two Grammy Awards, won a Billboard Music Award, and landed three albums in the Top 5 of the Billboard 200. Theory of a Deadman started as a basement band but have become a rock force with multi-platinum hits including 'Angel,' 'Hate My Life,' 'Not Meant To Be,' 'Bad Girlfriend,' and 'RX (Medicate). 'These two rock bands will certainly draw an awesome crowd,' Parr said. 'We are thrilled to have them cranking up the volume on a Friday night.' The Forever Young Tour performance will bring the biggest hits from 1990s and early 2000s on Saturday, Aug. 30. The tour features Vanilla Ice, O-Town, Ryan Cabrera, and LFO, hosted by Chris Kirkpatrick of *NSYNC. Closing out the outdoor concert series is La Arrolladora Banda El Limón de René Camacho on Sunday, August 31. The band originally formed in 1965 as Banda El Limon, and has since produced more than 30 albums with a Latin Grammy Award for Best Banda Album and nine Lo Nusestro Award nominations. Gov. Pillen declares state of emergency for NE Neb. counties 'Fiesta Latina will once again be a cultural celebration deep into the night,' Parr said. 'With the show starting at 9 p.m., this will be a great late-night party.' The fair has also announced that The Righteous Brothers, The Marshall Tucker Band, Matthew West with special guest Josiah Queen, and comedian Brian Regan will be performing as part of the indoor series. Winter Jam 2025 is coming to Great Southern Bank Arena
SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — Christian music tour, Winter Jam, will be stopping by Great Southern Bank Arena to perform this weekend. Winter Jam 2025 will take place at the Great Southern Bank Arena, 685 S. John Q Hammons Pkwy, on Saturday, Mar. 22 at 6 p.m. Artists set to hit the stage include Skillet, Anne Wilson, KB, Colton Dixon, NewSong, Micah Tyler and speaker Zane Black. General admission seating is $15 per person at the door only and must be paid via cash or check.
