Here's how Sky users can access these six brand new channels for free. For Sky users who are getting tired of the same old channels, you are in for some good news today. The tech firm has confirmed that it has added six new channels to its TV guide, which will provide a bit of entertainment for everyone. With the new channels filled with a range of content, including art, documentaries and sports, shoppers will have something new to watch when they turn on their TV tonight. What's even better is that shoppers won't need to do anything to gain access to the channels. ‌ Sky users will be able to explore these new channels for no added cost and they should automatically upload onto your TV guide. This means customers won't need to go through the hassle of re-tuning their TVs. ‌ The new FAST (Free Ad-supported Streaming Television) channels will be available from today and can be accessed by customers in slightly different ways, reports the Express. For those who use a Sky broadband-powered gadget, such as Sky Glass Gen 2, Sky Glass Sir and Sky Stream, the new channels will seamlessly appear on your TV guide. However, Sky users who have an older satellite-powered Sky Q box will need to go through the Xumo Play app to find content from these channels. Below is a list of each of the new channels, as well as what content to expect from each of them. Sky's six new channels Sky Sports Classics (channel 1001) - This platform will let viewers look though the Sky Sports Premier League archives. Sports fans should expect shows such as Premier League Icons and Premier League Legends. Sky Sport Vault (channel 1002) - This sports channel is slightly different as it offers archives from darts, boxing and EFL. Some examples include Fight Night and The PDC World Dart Championship. ‌ Sky Sports Stories (channel 1003) - The final new sports channel will focus on documentaries that will be targeted to every fan - from EFL Rivalries to Her Huddle. Pick Monkey Rescue (channel 1004) - Animal lovers are in luck as this channel will feature episodes from the Monkey Life series. ‌ Emergency 24/7 (channel 1005) - For those who enjoy a bit of drama and real life stories, this channel will provide a range of emergency content. This includes Highway Cops, Stop Search Seize and Air Ambulance ER. Sky Artist of the Year (channel 1006) - The last channel is aimed at art fans as it will show content such as Sky's Portrait Artist of the Year and Landscape Artist of the Year. For those who don't want to scroll for ages to explore these channels, Sky users can easily find the new channels via voice search on the remote. ‌ Sky isn't the only company to be launching new channels, as Virgin Media recently confirmed the launch of two new channels that are completely free and jam packed with films. Those who have Virgin TV 360, Stream or V6 box will be able to access these new channels right now. On channel 450, you will find British Screen Classics, which shows films and TV shows from the archives of ITV Studios and Studio Canal. While over on channel 451, Virgin Media users will have access to wedotv. This channel is described as a "contemporary film channel with a catalogue of over 500 movies across all genres."
