‘Tough out there' for consumers amid discretionary spending drought: Myer Executive Chair
Myer Executive Chairwoman Olivia Wirth discusses the economic landscape for consumers and how it is looking 'tough out there' at the moment.
Ms Wirth has told attendees at the Sky News Economic Outlook 2025 that Aussies continue to struggle with limited budget.
'From a consumer perspective, it's pretty tough and it's patchy,' Ms Wirth said.
'Discretionary income isn't where it has been ... consumers are really focused on value, they are focused on promotion, and they are responding to sales.'
