VSP: Man charged after reportedly rear-ending, killing teen on bicycle in Lee Co.
LEE COUNTY, Va. (WJHL) — The Virginia State Police (VSP) said troopers charged a Wise County man with reckless driving on Friday after he reportedly rear-ended and killed an 18-year-old who was riding a bicycle in Lee County.
A release from the VSP said Skylar McMahan, 18, of Big Stone Gap, was riding a bicycle on Route 58A in Lee County at around 1:45 p.m. Friday when he was rear-ended by a Dodge Ram 1500.

The release said McMahan was traveling westbound on his bicycle when the driver of the pickup truck, identified as Dustin Holman, 32, of Wise, rear-ended him.
Police said McMahan died at the scene on Route 58A, one mile west of Route 982. Holman was not injured and charged with reckless driving, according to the release.
The VSP said the crash remains under investigation.
