May 2 was celebrated as International Harry Potter Day, which was started by then-Prime Minister David Cameron back in 2012. This special day was created as a tribute Harry Potter and the whole wizarding world franchise. Some Harry Potter fans took to social media to look at the transformations of the actors who brought the magical movies to life. A TikTok account, Harry Potter Lore, has made waves with a video showcasing Jamie Waylett (Vincent Crabbe), Josh Herdman (Gregory Goyle), Evanna Lynch (Luna Lovegood), Tom Felton (Draco Malfoy), and Robert Pattinson (Cedric Diggory). Standing out among them, the transformation of one particular star has got the fans talking. According to many comments on the post, Jamie Waylett now bears an uncanny resemblance to American rapper and singer Post Malone. One fan remarked: "First dude turned into Post Malone." Another joked: "Since when was Post Malone in Harry Potter?". Another joined in the comparison, saying: "Why does Crabbe look like Post Malone now?" This sentiment was shared by yet another commenter: "Young Post Malone in Harry Potter?". Another quipped about the actor's new looks: "The first one became Post Malone?" The TikTok clip shows a picture of Jamie Waylett from 2003, wearing his Hogwarts robes, juxtaposed with him aged 35. In the Harry Potter series, he portrayed Crabbe, the son of a Death Eater and a member of Slytherin House who was part of Draco Malfoy's gang. His role in Harry Potter remains his only film role to date, featuring in six out of the eight films. However, despite having a promising future, his life took a dark turn that appears to have halted his acting career. (Image: PA) In 2009, he lost his role in the popular franchise after being discovered growing cannabis plants at his home. He was sentenced to 120 hours of community service, marking the beginning of his decline from the screen. Things worsened when he was imprisoned for two years in 2012 after being convicted of violent disorder for drinking from a bottle of Champagne stolen during the London riots. He was photographed holding a petrol bomb, but was acquitted of intending to destroy or damage property. Recently, however, Jamie has been making efforts to rebuild his life. He has been seen offering personal video messages on the well-known celebrity website Cameo for fans.
