Commemorative volume on S.S. Gubbi to be released on Sunday
A commemorative volume titled 'Hridayavanta' covering the contribution of renowned orthopaedic surgeon and writer S.S. Gubbi to the field of medicine and literature will be released in Kalaburagi on Sunday.
Editor of the book B.H. Nirgudi, who is also the secretary of the Dr. S.S. Gubbi Abhinandana Samiti, addressing presspersons here on Wednesday, said that Minister for Small Scale Industries Sharanabasappa Darshanpur will inaugurate the function and Aland MLA B.R. Patil will release the commemorative volume.
Orthopaedic surgeon S.B. Kamreddy will preside over the function and member of the Karnataka Sahitya Academy Siddaram Honakal will speak about the commemorative volume.
Mr. Nirgudi said that 76 personalities, including writers, members of medical fraternity, colleagues, admirers of Dr. Gubbi, have contributed to the commemorative volume.
