Who Needs A Hotel? This Tata Yodha Camper Comes With A Rooftop View And A Bathroom

Last Updated: At first glance, the Yodha stands out with bold stickers, off-road bumpers, alloy wheels, and roof-mounted lights. India's overlanding community is growing fast, and one man is taking it to the next level. Having said that, a YouTuber named SufiSwami has turned a 2023 Tata Yodha pickup truck into a full-fledged overlanding beast—complete with a bed, kitchen, bathroom and even an extendable rooftop. The build was recently showcased in a video by Small Town Rider, capturing the imagination of overlanding fans across the country. Why a Tata Yodha? The Tata Yodha is usually seen hauling cargo, not comfort. But this 4×4 version has undergone a massive transformation. The front bumper has been swapped for a rugged metal one with tow hooks, while alloy wheels, auxiliary lamps, and a roof-mounted light bar boost its off-road credentials. Inside, the basic factory seats have been replaced with ventilated, armrest-equipped captain seats wrapped in tan leather. The cabin features a custom roof liner, door trims, and even a 360-degree camera setup using three different screens, painstakingly installed by the owner himself. Other features include foldable seats, woofers, and even a walkway to the living space. What Does the Living Space Offer? The load deck now serves as a cosy mini-home. It includes a bed, fan, kitchen, bathroom, inverter, lights, and air conditioning. There's even an external cooking area, water taps, solar lights, and camping essentials. The biggest surprise is an electrically extendable roof that pops up by 3 feet for scenic views. Performance Under the hood, the Yodha is still a workhorse, running on a 2.2-litre diesel engine delivering 85 bhp and 250 Nm of torque, mated to a manual gearbox. view comments Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's.
