Award-winning designer Poonam Moore who helped design this year's Smart Home took to social media with news we've all been waiting for. "I know that everyone's been on social, waiting and looking for any updates on the HGTV Smart Home 2025," she began the video. "Well, a little birdy just told me that it's going to happen really soon and I'm super excited."
Poonam, who's an interior designer, general contractor, and founder of her own design company, is the creative mind behind this year's Smart Home and she's no stranger to the spotlight. Some fans may recognize her from shows like Rico to the Rescue and 100 Day Hotel Challenge.
This year's HGTV Smart Home is located in sunny San Antonio, Texas, and it's more than just a stylish house. It's a dream prize! The newly renovated, fully furnished midcentury-meets-modern abode includes three bedrooms, three bathrooms, and impressive indoor-outdoor spaces that are basically begging for backyard BBQ hangouts.
As for the cherry on top? The winner doesn't just get the house. They'll also receive a brand new 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLC Plug-In Hybrid SUV AND $100,000 in cash (!!!).
With the help of Married to Real Estate star Mike Jackson, Poonam transformed the original home into a modern masterpiece of course, with a high-tech twist. Think a dramatic open kitchen with an oven that comes with WiFi, a lounge with surrounding built-in bookshelves, and even its own basketball court complete with a hoop that keeps track of your stats. Oh, and we can't forget the cold plunge for a spa-like experience and a fitness mirror in the guest bedroom that offers studio-quality fitness classes.
